Anyone who lived through the 90s remembers how immensely popular the Spice Girls were. They had a reunion tour in 2019, but one important person was missing: Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham. She hasn’t seemed to be on board with ever taking the stage for a reunion. Except for the Olympics, of course.
Like many of us, Kim Kardashian was a huge Spice Girls fan back in the day. Kim and a group of friends once dressed up as the group to perform in a talent show, with even Kim taking on the role of Posh. Years later, things would come full circle for Kim.
On the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim says Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm asked her to fill in for Posh if they toured again. Whether or not Mel C was joking is debatable.
Kim told the story on a London trip
Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians included a scene where Kim and some of her friends took their kids to a pro soccer game in London. It was there that Kim told the tale of when Mel C made her childhood Posh dreams come true. “They asked me if I would be her part. Mel C asked me.”
Kim shared that her daughter, North West, was totally on board with the idea. “Can you imagine? North is like, ‘Do it, mom!’”

Kim elaborated on the story in her confessional. Mel wrote an inscription to Kim in a copy of her 2022 book, The Sporty One: My Life As a Spice Girl.
“Sporty Spice wrote a book and she signed it inside and she sent it to me. It said they were going on tour and they needed a Posh and would I be the Posh? I am sure she was joking but when I was in high school would I ever have thought that this was like a thing? I am just a girl from high school who loves the Spice Girls and now they are asking me?”
It’s possible that the Spice Girls could take the stage again in 2024 since that marks the group’s 30-year anniversary. Let’s be honest though, they should probably just leave Posh’s spot unfilled. Anyone who’s heard Kim’s stab at music with the 2011 song “Jam (Turn It Up)” probably agrees that singing isn’t one of her strengths.
