For weeks now, the Bravo streets have been buzzing with news of Shannon Beador’s DUI crash, arrest, and aftermath. Fellow Real Housewives of Orange County cast members have commented on the situation, as well as Housewives from other franchises.
But one person who stayed uncharacteristically quiet throughout it all was Shannon. Of course, given the legal ramifications of the situation, her silence made sense. After sustaining injuries from the crash and even an investigation from animal control, silence was probably what Shannon needed more than anything.
Of course, no one can keep a Housewife quiet for long. After weeks of being nearly off the grid, Shannon has finally commented on her arrest.
Shannon is focused on “getting healthy”
On October 17, Shannon posted a video to her Instagram to finally comment on the DUI situation. She said, “I know it’s been a while since I posted, and there’s been a lot of talk about everything that’s happened recently. But unfortunately, right now, I’m not in the position to comment.”
She continued, “But there will be a time when I can. And I intend to be open, honest, and authentic. Right now, I’m focusing on getting healthy, getting back to myself, and walking Archie.” She then turned the camera to her dog before closing out the video. Comments on the video were limited, likely right after the post went up.
The bruises she received from her crash were practically invisible. Shannon was also careful not to reveal the cast on her left arm. Displaying Archie in the video was likely an attempt to let everyone know the dog is okay and she intends to take care of him. Shannon received a great deal of criticism after it came out that Archie was in the car during the crash.
