Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 is set to premiere on Bravo on Sunday, November 5 and fans have been waiting with bated breath for the highly-anticipated new season. Season 7 ended with a lot of bad blood after several of the Potomac ladies failed to come to a resolution at the reunion. Considering we’re starting this season with multiple feuds still in play, it’s sure to be one for the Bravo history books.
While we wait for the premiere, let’s fantasize about the upcoming season. Here is everything we hope to see on Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8.
Chris Bassett Resolution
In Season 7, Gizelle Bryant caused quite an uproar after she called Candiace Dillard Bassett‘s husband Chris Bassett a “sneaky link.” The 53-year-old revealed that Chris made her uncomfortable at the Season 6 reunion by taking her into a private room to have a discussion about Candiace.
The claim upset Candiace, who felt Gizelle was trying to say her husband makes women uncomfortable. The claim followed a similar rumor made earlier that season by Ashley Darby. Ashley divulged to Candiace that her friend Deborah Williams said Chris was flirty towards her during a night out. However, the show later showed footage of the supposed “flirty exchange,” proving Chris did not act out of line.
The couple was obviously on the defensive at the reunion. It caused a lot of tension in the group, and it seems like the rift is ongoing. In a March 2023 interview with Page Six, Candiace referred to Gizelle as “a demon” and accused the Bravo star of not having feelings. “You can’t expect humanity from just a rock,” she told the outlet. “Rocks don’t have feelings.”
We’re anticipating a lot more drama between these two in Season 8 and we’re hoping to get more clarity on the situation.
More About Juan and Robyn
Cheating rumors always seem to follow Juan and Robyn Dixon, and Season 7 was no exception. Robyn initially dismissed the rumors but later came clean on an episode of her podcast, Reasonably Shady, in January 2023, admitting that Juan did exchange a few direct messages with a woman from Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“What I will say is, yes, Juan was an idiot and communicated with this woman on Instagram,” she said on the episode. “They did not date. He did not fly her anywhere, and there is a reason why his name is on a hotel receipt.”
The mother-of-two later revealed why Juan’s name was on the hotel receipt of the hotel the woman stayed at on a February 2023 episode of Watch What Happens Live. Robyn explained that the woman in question flew to Maryland to visit her boyfriend, who played for the Baltimore Ravens.
According to Robyn, the woman lost her wallet in transport and couldn’t pay for her hotel, so she reached out to Juan, who covered the expense. All we can say is ???? What? Why wouldn’t her Baltimore Ravens boyfriend cover the expense? HUH? Why would Juan pay for the hotel room of a woman he had only talked to on Instagram? We aren’t totally buying Juan’s story and we need more details in Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8.
Ashley’s Single Girl Era
We are so excited to see more of single Ashley in Season 8. In Season 7, Ashley was separated from her ex-husband, Michael Darby, but so much of the season still revolved around their relationship.
We’re hoping to see Ashley living her best single girl life in Season 8. We want to see her go on some dates, kiss some hot dudes, and enjoy her newfound freedom! She deserves it.

Season 7 of Potomac was kind of intense. Between infidelity rumors and drinks being thrown, we felt a little worn out by the end of the season.
