RHOSLC Newbie Monica Garcia Was a Federal Government Witness Against Jen Shah

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City returned for its fourth season this week, and what a premiere we were treated to. Not only did it include a ridiculous spat over dirty bathtubs, but a major bombshell. New RHOSLC castmate Monica Garcia has been keeping a secret about her history with Jen Shah. Here are all the details we learned from the RHOSLC Season 4 premiere.

Monica helped put Jen behind bars

“Honestly, if she were in the witness protection program, or a police lineup, I would not be able to pick her out,” Lisa Barlow joked about the latest cast member. Strangely enough, she might not be too far off the mark. I’m shaking. I’m physically shaking.

“So, Jen had fired her assistant and I stepped in to help her. One night Jen asked me, ‘Do you wanna be rich? Do you wanna make $600,000 a year? All you have to do is put this, this, and this in your name,'” claimed Monica.

“I remember being so weirded out, like, ‘Wait, what?’ It was very bizarre, and I have a friend in the Secret Service, and I called him. And he said, ‘Get the f*ck away from Jen Shah, she’s going to prison.’ And she was arrested two months later. And that is how I became a witness with the federal government in her trial.” Did anyone else get MAJOR goosebumps during this scene?

First off, major props to Monica and the RHOSLC cast for not having this info leak. It’s clear we’re not in Beverly Hills here. Andy Cohen can trust each and every one of these Real Housewives to keep storylines under wraps! Secondly, what a boss bitch move! Not many witnesses against someone like Jen Shah would then move into her spot on the reality show that made her famous. All while bragging about it! Monica is already shaping up to be an iconic addition to the series.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City continues Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
