Teresa Giudice recently slammed Rachel Fuda after she questioned her about her children’s relationship with Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga’s family. The drama went down on the latest episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
While on their cast trip to Ireland, Rachel asked Teresa if her kids were close to Melissa’s. After admitting they were in the past and calling out Antonia Gorga for missing Miliana Giudice’s sweet 16 birthday party, the ladies’ energy shifted.
“That was so calculated. I shouldn’t have even answered that question,” Teresa said on the RHONJ: After Show, as reported by RealityBlurb! “Why would she ask me if our kids are close and not ask Melissa that she’s really close with?”
“Rachel, she already knows the answer to that, and she could’ve asked Melissa that question instead of asking Teresa, her sister-in-law,” the OG said.
Rachel, who is new to the show, clearly knew what she was doing. After being around Melissa, Teresa, Joe, and Luis Ruelas all season, she should’ve known better than to bring up any children.
“I think it was a silly thing to ask,” Dolores Catania said. And I couldn’t agree more. But according to Rachel, she was only being “curious.”
“I was just kinda curious, like, ‘What’s that relationship look like?’ We’re having a deep conversation, like, getting to know each other, being like, honest, vulnerable, and I just asked the question,” Rachel said.
“If I had any inkling that I thought it was going to hurt [their] relationship more, I would’ve never asked it.” I mean, at the time, there were only a few weeks before Teresa and Luis’ wedding. Melissa wouldn’t be a bridesmaid, and their foundation obviously had cracks. How could she not know this topic could hinder their progress?
However, Melissa felt differently. “I don’t think you asked purposefully,” she said. “I looked at her before she could really say it and told her not to go there. Don’t drag our kids into it. Pick on me. There’s no reason to pick on Antonia.”
At the end of the segment, Dolores reminded viewers that the children don’t sign up to be part of the show’s drama. “Melissa should take it up with her friend Rachel for asking me if our kids are close. That’s what Melissa should do,” Teresa said. “Why doesn’t she take it up with Rachel? She takes it up with her sister-in-law and causes another problem.”
