Is it 2010 outside of my window? Are pigs flying? Does anyone know the current temperature in hell? After years of missing one of the original family members, we might be getting one back. Coincidentally, it’s after the scene has become remarkably more tolerable with the absence of Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.
But Ronnie’s loss is our gain. It’s time to gloss up because Ms. Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola has entered the building and is ready to take her rightful place back in the group. Who said you can’t come back after an 11-year hiatus? The hardcore Jersey Shore fans are having a field day with this one.
According to People, Sammi Sweetheart is back on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, and Angelina Pivarnick is probably driving around her neighborhood, crying profusely. Bless her heart. The official Jersey Shore Instagram account dropped the news of Sammi’s imminent arrival showing Sammi seated in the interview hot seat. The caption read, “She’s still the sweetest b*tch you’ll ever meet.”
At this time we do not know if Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi have begun the process of composing a preemptive note to slide under Sammi’s door. Naturally, the OG fandom immediately lost their minds in the comments. To be fair, it’s understandable. This is a big deal in the Jersey Shore kingdom.

Sammi endured life on Jersey Shore from 2009- 2012 and did not come back for the Family Vacation reboot. After an incredibly difficult and volatile relationship with Ronnie that often played out on camera, it makes sense she is showing up after his departure. Ronnie has been consistently dealing with domestic and substance abuse issues for the duration of Family Vacation filming.
She didn’t want to film with Ronnie to avoid “potentially toxic situations,” which tracks. She also wanted to focus on her business and her relationship. Last year Ronnie chose to take a pause from the show in an effort to seek medical treatment and work on his mental health. Additionally, Sammi and Christian Biscardi ended their relationship back in 2021, so she doesn’t have that to worry about.
Sammi did show up sparingly on the Snooki & Jwow show and she also took part in a 2017 reunion program. She also had a podcast with Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Siggy Flicker from 2015-2017 and I can only imagine the content of that show.
Well, never say never because this is definitely happening. Guess we’ll have to wait and see what Sammi and the rest of the gang get into when she makes her grand entrance. The cast has wanted her back for years and now the time has come. Be careful what you wish for, it might come true.
