Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga have been essential Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members since joining the show in its third season in 2011. Since their arrival, the Gorgas have continuously bumped heads with the series OG, who happens to be Joe’s sister, Teresa Giudice.
Teresa accused Melissa of being a gold digger on the show. And thanks to the stripper gate rumors, their family drama would remain front and center for the next several years.
After Teresa spent time away in prison after pleading guilty to multiple fraud charges, the Giudices and Gorgas tried to put their longstanding feud behind them. However, their truce finally ended after the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 12 reunion.
The in-laws argued over Melissa being excluded from Teresa’s wedding to Luis Ruelas. Which she says she found out about on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “I did find out on TV that I’m not going to be in Teresa’s wedding and I’m not a bridesmaid, which I’m OK with, I’m fine with. I understand. To each their own,” Melissa said. But did she mean it?
Shortly after their tense conversation at the reunion, RHONJ began production for Season 13. The biggest shocker was learning Melissa and Joe skipped Tre’s wedding entirely after a nasty blowup on camera. “I’m just shocked at the way I’m treated by my own family, my blood,” Joe said. “That’s what kills me. Every day, you have to live a life like that.”
However, despite fans being surprised by the Gorga’s absence, Joe Giudice, Teresa’s ex-husband, was not. “They’re unpredictable,” he said. “I wish [Luis] luck with his new in-laws.”

Like Teresa and Melissa, Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga also have a longstanding history of intense feuds. So when Joe Gorga recently shared a video of himself alongside Joe Giudice on Instagram, it sent Housewives fans into a frenzy.
Based on the video, the two reunited in the Bahamas, where Giudice is living following his deportation. Shortly after, Gia Giudice, Teresa’s eldest daughter, commented, slamming Gorga as an “opportunist” for posting “the once in a lifetime opportunity” to see her father on social media.
Following that, Melissa seemingly responded to Gia in a cryptic message on her Instagram. “Only people who are not happy with themselves are mean to others,” the post read, per RealityBlurb! The quote, which was created by @peacefulmindpeacefullife, finished with a strong statement: “Remember that.” Queens of Bravo Plus reshared Melissa’s post.
As Gia has gotten older, she’s participated in more conversations regarding her family’s drama. In the third episode of Season 13, Gia stated that Melissa and Joe were not there for her and her siblings while her parents were in prison. The Gorgas have always maintained that they were there for Teresa’s daughters.
