Ramona Singer gained notoriety on the more recent seasons of Real Housewives of New York for double-booking her dates. She often ditched her costars in favor of drinks with gentleman company. And some of these dates were immortalized on reality TV forever due to a little third-wheeling from a Bravo camera-person.
And why not? In 2014, Ramona suffered a public divorce after catching her husband of 27 years, Mario Singer, having an affair with Kasey Dexter. She hit the dating scene hard, but hasn’t been linked to anyone since Steven Gerber. They went their separate ways after a few months together.
Recently, Luann de Lesseps may or may not have spilled the beans about an exciting development in Ramona’s love life. While onstage during a Countess Cabaret show in Boston, Luann suggested that her former co-star had a new man in her life.
“Ramona is genuinely happy,” Luann said when asked to give an update on Ramona. Page Six reported that the exchange happened during the Q&A segment of the show. Luann claimed that the mother of one is “so happy” in a new relationship.
Ramona quickly clarified that she is, in fact, currently single. “I haven’t seen or spoken to Luann in a while. Luann is not up to date,” Ramona stated.
She added, “For the record, I do not currently have a boyfriend. I’m no longer seeing the man I was seeing when Luann and I last spoke. I’m just dating.”
However, Ramona is having the time of her life. She recently said that she’s “never been happier” and credits her positive outlook on her departure from RHONY.
“I’m 60 something now, I worked hard my whole life. It’s time for me just to enjoy myself,” Ramona said of the toll RHONY took on her. “And doing the show is not easy. I mean, people think it’s easy. Very stressful, very stressful.”
Also at stake was her portrayal on the show, including the heat she took from the cast every time she blew them off for a man. Now Ramona can “control [her] own narrative,” which leaves her “happier” and “calmer.”
