You can’t always make it nice — even if you’re Dorinda Medley. The legendary hostess is gearing up for this week’s premiere of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Ex-Wives Club, and in the latest episode of her Radio Andy show, “Make It Nice,” she dished about what it was really like to have all of those former Housewives under one roof in the Berkshires. She admitted that despite her signature catchphrases, she wasn’t always the hostess with the mostess.
As viewers, we all have confidence in Dorinda’s hosting abilities, which is why it was so correct for Peacock to hold season 2 of RHUGT at Blue Stone Manor. But for the guests that have to stay with Dordina, sometimes it’s not as fabulous as it looks on TV. It earned the name of the “Berzerkshire” for a reason. And as Page Six reported, hosting the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip proved to be a bit more of a challenge for Dorinda when compared to the regular cast trips on Real Housewives of New York City.
”I’ve never really had eight people stay in the place for eight days, or seven, beside myself,” she revealed on her Sirius XM show. “I definitely tried to be a good host. I did a great job sometimes and failed horribly at others.”
One person who would probably agree with that sentiment is her RHUGT castmate Vicki Gunvalson. The Real Housewives of Orange County OG recently slammed Dorinda’s hosting abilities, claiming her time at the legendary property was “miserable.” She also alleged that Dorinda was “horrible to most people who stayed there.”
Fortunately for us, Dorinda, at her worst, sometimes makes for the best TV. And although we might see her dark side reemerge again in the coming weeks, Dorinda admits that filming at Blue Stone Manor was a good call for the fans. So it sounds like the drama, and the misery, will all be worth it in the end.
“I got lucky because Blue Stone Manor is such a beloved character already that for the audience, to be able to see Blue Stone Manor in a different way, with all these superstar girls on it, I think is gonna be very exciting for the audience,” Dorinda said.
TELL US – WILL YOU BE WATCHING SEASON 2 OF RHUGT? WOULD YOU WANT TO STAY AT BLUE STONE MANOR, EVEN IF DORINDA FAILED MISERABLY AS A HOST?
