Vicki Gunvalson will forever and always be the OG of Real Housewives of Orange County. However, she wasn’t the only one holding an orange at the beginning, even if she wishes it was that way. Vicki has been central to so much of the show’s story, but her Season 1 counterparts are just as important. Jeana Keough will also always ride the high of being one of the original stars of the show, even if it’s been years since she’s been a series regular.
RHOC Season 1 was a small, but mighty cast. We had Lauri Waring, Vicki’s employee who had the classic rags to riches story that’s common in the OC. There was Kimberly Bryant, a spunky housewife who moved away before she reached her full reality TV star potential. Finally, we cannot forget about Jo De La Rosa, the youngest of the group. She’s single-handedly responsible for bringing Slade Smiley onto our TV screens before the Gretchen Rossi of it all. Whether or not we see that as a positive thing is up for debate, but you can’t deny the impact.
Jo was another Real Housewives star who showed amazing potential. She got into drama with her friends and within her messy relationship. In fact, it would be fun to watch Bravo bring her back for a hot second, even if a Friend Of capacity. The fans love a throwback moment and this is throwing it wayyyy back.
Jo finally found her happily ever after and walked down the aisle this past weekend, according to Page Six. Jo married her quarantine boo Taran Gray Peirson, a musical theater composer who is, on paper, the exact opposite of Slade. Jo’s been engaged a few times, but this is the first time she’s made it down the aisle. The pair got engaged last July and were married in a backyard ceremony in Los Angeles.
Jo may not be on TV anymore, but she’s finally a wife. She’s been gone for a while, but we’ll never forget the contributions she made to RHOC at the beginning and to the franchise as a whole. Congrats to Jo and Taran on getting hitched and we wish them a long and happy life together.
