Season 2 of Bling Empire promised even more drama than season 1 and I think it delivered. And I truly enjoyed Dorothy Wang and Mimi Morris being added to the cast. But one of the most cringe storylines of the season was the will-they-won’t-they relationship between Kim Lee and Kevin Kreider.
Kevin, who has made his feelings for Kim abundantly clear, asked her out on a date. As the moments ticked by and he waited, it became apparent that she was standing him up. I think everyone watching knew before he did. Naturally, everyone wants to know why Kim agreed to the date only to be a no-show.
Kim recently spoke with E! News and admitted that she got “cold feet.” Kim explained, “I mean, listen, at the end of the day, I guess I had a hard time just being honest with him in the very beginning. I don’t know why I had some type of guilt. Like I should have just been straight up like ‘Hey, I can’t make it.'” She added, “I don’t know what I was thinking that day. I felt like it’s just better if I not show up and act like something happened but that did not turn out good.”
In addition, she didn’t want to “reject” Kevin but ultimately learned her lesson when it comes to being up front. Said Kim, “In the end, I realized it’s just good to be straight up with a person. I shouldn’t have done that. So that was my fault.”
In the same interview, Kevin shared some of his thoughts on their relationship. Kevin revealed what we all knew – that he started having feelings for Kim at the end of season 1. He noted that it was “at the finale party” specifically. He continued, “I would definitely say I felt a very strong magnetic pull towards Kim. Originally I was doing things just to be a friend and be there for someone and then when we started talking a little bit more, I saw a different side of Kim.”
As for where the two are right now, Kevin wouldn’t answer and instead teased, “you’d have to keep watching” in order to find out. You know I will!
