Sometimes, very rarely, I find myself wondering, in part fascination and part horror, what Jax Taylor’s life is like post Vanderpump Rules. He and Brittany Cartwright “left” the show after a long run and the Number One Guy In The Group has been in denial ever since. It was time — we, as a society, moved on without Vanderpump Rules as we knew it. It’s honestly for the better. Once they stopped putting on those ridiculous SURver dresses on the daily, the show went downhill. Bravo just needs to stop making it happen and move on to the next.
Jax has been a little shady recently (AKA hanging out with Randall Emmett after Lala Kent attempted to erase her ex from the face of the earth). As always, Brittany has been covering for his bad behavior. Now that it’s been so long since they’ve been on TV, the two really seem to be missing their 15-seconds of fame.
Brittany has previously said that Lisa Vanderpump isn’t really close with them anymore. More recently, she went on Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef to express her sadness about losing LVP as a friend.
Page Six reported all of Britt’s statements about LVP. She admitted Lisa sent her a present when she had her baby, but that’s about it. “We don’t hear from her as much as I thought we would, which is kind of sad,” Britt said. “But I still love her to pieces.” She was also apparently particularly upset that Lisa didn’t offer up parenting advice. Jax isn’t one to really listen well, so why would LVP waste her breath? Sidenote: why does it seem like Lisa’s communication style is always under a microscope? Let Nanny Pinky live her life.
Brittany, as expected, went on to speak for her husband. She says Jax doesn’t talk about missing LVP much, but admits he likely is hurt about losing her friendship. “I know she was really close to him during all the filming,” Brittany said. “So I just wish that would have, like, continued a little bit.” Did these two really think LVP would have time to hang out with a bunch of her old employees if it wasn’t being filmed? Darlings, don’t be so silly.
