Now that Sheree Whitfield has made her return to Real Housewives of Atlanta, it’s time to reconnect with her fellow castmates. Being an OG of the series, Sheree has already worked with Marlo Hampton, Kenya Moore and Kandi Burruss for years. And it looks like they are all happy to have her back. But not every relationship Sheree has built on the show has proven as fruitful.
As reported by Showbiz Cheatsheet, Sheree recently appeared on the podcast Reality With the King podcast with former RHOA producer Carlos King to discuss who she’s on the outs with. Turns out, Sheree is not too happy with longtime friend and former costar Kim Zolciak. For this season’s finale, Sheree filmed her fashion show and Kim didn’t show up to support her.
Said Sheree of Carlos showing up, “You flew here and it was b—–s here that live here that I feel like should have been here.” The fashion show was filmed in Los Angeles, where Kim has taken up residence. Since Kim ditched her event, Sheree revealed that she hasn’t talked to her. Nor has Kim reached out.
Sheree continued, “I had been talking to her and she said, ‘Oh my gosh, I know this is so important to you.’ Now this is the thing: when I am not on Housewives, I get invited to a lot of these events and most times I don’t go but when it’s something that matters [I go] because I don’t care [but] these girls want to be paid.” According to Sheree, former stars of the show typically ask for a fee to attend flamed events. It’s unclear if Kim asked for a fee to appear but knowing Kim, I’m going to go with YES. Sheree added, “I showed up to Cynthia [Bailey]’s wedding because it mattered. Those are the things that are important to me.”
To make matters ever worse, Sheree pointed out that she’s always gone to Kim’s events, without getting paid. She was on Kim’s spinoff multiple times, was a bridesmaid in her wedding and even showed up at the release of Kim’s skincare line. Not to mention, Sheree has defended Kim (unnecessarily) for years. Sheree shared, “That’s even more disappointing because I’ve always been supportive of the people that I really mess with and I’ve even supported those I don’t mess with but for people to think I was on the wrong team [siding with Kim], I am team Sheree but that’s the type of person that I am because until I see that you’ve done me wrong or you’ve done things to me, I don’t care what you’ve done to other people.”
If Sheree is going to stay friends with Kim, she’s likely going to have to defend her a lot more these days. NeNe Leakes recently dropped a bomb by filing a lawsuit against Bravo for racism by the network. In the suit, she has multiple mentions of Kim making racist remarks. NeNe is alleging that when she complained to Bravo, she was ignored and even blackballed from the industry in retaliation. While Kim isn’t a defendant int he suit, court documents make it clear that Kim was an alleged catalyst.
Sheree hasn’t commented on the lawsuit but given the situation, maybe it’s best Sheree cuts ties with Kim. It looks like she’s got plenty of drama to deal with on screen anyway.
