If we know anything about Teresa Giudice, it’s that loyalty is everything to her. The Real Housewives of New Jersey OG has spent years demanding blind loyalty from friends and family. And god help you if you don’t come through. Just ask brother Joe Gorga and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, who are still on Tre’s sh– list for their perceived past of not having Tre’s back.
Even longtime friend Dolores Catania doesn’t get the credit she deserves. Time and time again, she has defended Tre against her castmates. And it doesn’t matter if Teresa is wrong or right, Dolores is there. Which is why she was so hurt when Teresa claimed that no one on her franchise has her back when she appeared on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Dolores said of Tre’s comment, “No, I don’t agree with that. And I feel bad she said it.” She added, “Yeah, I feel I have [had Teresa’s back]. I’ve gotten a lot of slack for it at times, but I don’t mind doing it. She’s my friend.”
So after Teresa’s explosive fight with Margaret Josephs on the cast trip to Nashville, Dolores finds herself in hot water again. As reported by Reality Blurb, Tre complained about her 20+ year friend on an episodes of the RHONJ: After Show. Said Teresa, “[Dolores] wanted to come after me and then she didn’t because Margaret told her not to. Right there, loyalty was broken. Because why did she listen to Margaret?”
Jennifer Aydin, who has been accused of doing whatever Tre wants, chimed in. She stated, “Teresa, if you haven’t realized by now that Dolores is a better friend to Margaret, you need to open your eyes. I know you’ve been friends with her longer but her friendship with Margaret is stronger.” Jen is the worst.
While Melissa doesn’t really have a dog in this fight, she finally knows she won’t get anywhere without taking Teresa’s side. So she agreed that Dolores is “closer friends” with Margaret. Interestingly, even Jackie Goldschneider believes that Dolores’ actions that night suggested she took Marge’s side. Jackie explained, “Dolores and Margaret are such close friends that I think it feels very disloyal. Not that you need to pick a side but in that moment, Dolores was picking a side.” She added, “Margaret was sitting there covered in food, legitimately, so upset, I mean, cameras no cameras, Margaret was so upset and so uncomfortable and she needed to feel supported.”
Am I taking crazy pills? Why is everyone assuming that Dolores should be “loyal” to Teresa after she threw food, cursed out, and threatened to beat up her castmate? Dolores can still be a friend and not agree with Teresa. In fact, a good friend would hold someone they care about accountable for their actions. Teresa’s behavior was unhinged and uncalled for. Even if Marge is stirring up trouble. When it comes to my housewives, gimme the drama, gimme the fighting. They can even hit below the belt. But throwing things on people and getting physical is not what I tune in for when watching a bunch of grown women.
Now that I’m off my soap box, what does Dolores have to say about all this? She simply felt it was right to stay behind because Marge was more upset by the incident. Dolores shared, “In cop land, back when, what you do when there’s a domestic violence, you separate them and you calm them down. And that was my instinct, was to go and calm down the one that was hardest to calm.”
TELL US – DO YOU THINK DOLORES IS BEING DISLOYAL? WHY DO YOU THINK EVERYONE SEEMS TO BE STICKING BY TRE THIS SEASON? DO YOU THINK MARGE DESERVED TO HAVE DRINKS THROWN ON HER? WHY DOES TRE DEMAND SO MUCH OF HER FRIENDS AND FAMILY?
