EEEEYYYYYYyyyiiikkeessss. Who saw Shah’s of Sunset being cancelled under these conditions? There are claims that the show, which is produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions, has simply “ran its course.” Another source close to production has alluded that the show was “too expensive” to make. Though nothing has been confirmed by Bravo yet, I think we all know where there’s smoke, there’s fire. And whatever the reasoning may be, it seems we are looking at the end of an era.
The Shah’s cancellation announcement came eerily close to Mike Shouhed’s arrest for domestic violence. Mike’s arrest happened earlier this month. He was booked on a felony charge according to the Los Angeles Sherrif’s records. Mike was then held for a few hours before paying his $50,000 bond. He has a court date scheduled for July 25th. To be clear, there is currently no confirmation that Mike’s arrest involved Paulina Ben-Cohen.
Said Mike’s lawyer, “At this time, the only comment I can make with confidence is my client in no way committed any act of domestic violence and the truth will prevail.” And so we wait.
In the meantime, Mercedes Javid has found herself on the Jeff Lewis show. E! News reported on the interview during which Jeff argued, “I strongly believe people are innocent until proven guilty.” MJ replied, “Same here.”
“I’ve never, ever, ever seen him violent and I’ve never seen him be angry,” MJ explained. Never seen Mike angry? This one needs her vision checked.
And as far as believing women or piecing together the chaotic and unhinged clues Mike has been dropping for nine seasons, don’t hold your breath. Mercedes added, “I was shocked because I think that unless I was literally in the room, a witness to it, I’m with you: ‘innocent until proven guilty.”
Can we change the phrase to “suspect until proven guilty”? I’m not really sure which part of Mike’s character is providing him grace right now. The most recent season of the show centered on Mike’s excessive cheating and subsequent lies. All this after his previous divorce from Jessica Parido due to non-stop cheating and lying. We’ve seen him erupt with redmore times than I can even count. What am I missing?
