Leah McSweeney and Ramona Singer had a complicated relationship on Real Housewives of New York. During Leah’s freshman season, she often acted out while drinking. A prime example would be Leah flinging Ramona’s tiki torches while naked. As one does.
Ramona claimed that “with Leah, she gets a little out of control … and I end up being like her mother.” According to Leah, Ramona and Sonja Morgan didn’t want her on RHONY and tried to get her kicked off. When Leah wore a sheer dress to Ramona’s birthday party and then grinded on Luann de Lesseps, Ramona had a meltdown. She actually threatened to quit over the shenanigans.
Season 13 of RHONY was a disaster. Leah’s beloved grandmother passed away. She admitted, “I was dealing with COVID, you know, depression, just like a lot of other people were.” Leah decided to become sober once again.
Leah experienced a shocking backlash after her first season on the show. Then Ramona did something that no one saw coming. Ramona defended her co-star, stating that Leah’s grandmother had died and asking that fans “Give her a pass… FOR NOW.”
Last season certainly wasn’t great for Ramona. She butted heads with newbie Eboni K. Williams. Bravo announced that the reunion was canceled. It later came to light that Eboni made a complaint that Ramona allegedly uttered a “racially motivated” comment. The resulting third-party investigation was the reason for the reunion delay, and eventual cancellation. Ramona was cleared, and she denied making the remark.
Then Ramona hopped over to Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. When the ladies arrived at the mansion in Turks and Caicos, Ramona slipped away to claim her room, rubbing her co-stars the wrong way. But Ramona had already sparred with Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore on the private plane trip. When Kenya called out Ramona for flirting with another man while she was married, Ramona responded, “I was getting f–king divorced, bitch.”
During a trip on a yacht, Ramona said, “F–k you” to Kenya. Ramona also told her RHUGT co-stars that Luann slept with Tom D’Agostino, her now ex-husband, on their first date. After causing all that chaos, Ramona returned to shore in a dingy with the crew.

“It’s hard to defend your friends when they put their foot in their mouth,” Luann remarked. It was clear from this trip that the ladies from other franchises weren’t going to put up with Ramona’s antics. And to top it off, Ramona was hot to trot and putting the moves on John, the owner of a local restaurant. It was cringe-inducing.
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Leah fielded questions about Ramona. “Did you watch Ultimate Girls Trip? What did you think of Ramona’s behavior?” one fan asked.
“She was acting so slutty and horny. It was weird,” Leah commented. “I couldn’t believe that she acts like this, but she gets mad at me for just wearing a nice, little, black sheer, dress.” Leah added, “She has a lot of internalized misogyny.”
