Dorinda Medley Says Brandi Glanville Apologized After Mocking Her Home And Her Grief

If you haven’t watched season 1 of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, run, don’t walk to your tv! Seeing an all-star cast interact and break ties with their own franchise allies was a true joy. And season 2 promises to be just as fun. Filmed at Dorinda Medley’s famous Blue Stone Manor in the Berkshires, a few stories have already leaked about how wild it was.

One such story involves former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville. Is anyone surprised to hear this? Probably not. The drama in question is that Brandi called Dorinda’s house “Dead Stone Manor.” Which was insensitively referring to multiple cast members talking about their deceased husbands. Dorinda, along with Jill Zarin and Taylor Armstrong have all experienced the loss of their spouses. I’m sure it was a big bonding moment for them. So leave it to Brandi to ruin it!

Dorinda is now revealing to Daily Mail that Brandi has apologized for her inconsiderate quip. The previous Real Housewives of New York cast member explained, “It’s just terrible because first of all, she’s in my husband’s [Richard Medley] house and he’s like buried a mile away. When you are staying in someone’s home — you speak about death in that manner? I just … God help you.”

She added, “You know, there’s no fight, there’s no defending yourself on that. Because, you know, you just can’t weaponize it.”

Dorinda continued about Taylor and Jill’s losses, “It’s no joke. It’s not like they lost a handbag. It’s morbid and it’s inconsiderate, and it comes off as sort of ignorant.” But thankfully, Dorinda divulged that Brandi reached out to her via text to apologize. And she has forgiven Brandi, noting that she thinks of her as a little sister. The two also continue to be in touch now that the show has wrapped.

Dorinda said, “She says these things, and I think that she regrets it. I don’t believe that Brandi has a mean bone in her body.”

If we are being honest here, I think Dorinda can relate to the idea of saying horrible things and feeling bad about it later. We all remember how vicious Dorinda was when drinking on RHONY. And it likely cost her the apple she held for 6 seasons. An insider claimed at the time that Dorinda was “very aggravated all season long and it was too difficult to work with her.” And it doesn’t sound like Dorinda learned her lesson.

Tamra Judge, Dorinda’s castmate on RHUGT, revealed on her podcast that Dorinda wasn’t exactly easy to deal with. Said Tamra, “There was definitely one cast member that picked a fight every single day. Or I should say every night, after cocktails.” But Tamra also admitted, “But thank god for her because it really made good TV.”

So will any of Dorinda’s fellow RHUGT ladies be invited back to The Manor? Dorinda laughed, “I don’t know if I could collectively altogether, and I don’t think we’ll stay for eight days. I’m really a Friday to Sunday morning person.”
