Are they, or aren’t they? Legally married, that is. That is the question TMZ is asking right now. According to sources, while Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker definitely had a private wedding ceremony in Las Vegas, the jury’s still out on whether they had a marriage license.
We’ve seen some flashy (hello Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries) and some quick (hello Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom) weddings on Keeping Up With the Kardashians over the years. But, we’ve yet to see a Vegas Wedding. Or Kourtney married, ever. Despite living with long-term baby daddy Scott Disick and having three children with him. Marriage just never seemed to be a huge priority for her.
Children on the other hand? Check. I figured Kourtney was going the same route this time, after all, she and Travis have made no secrets about trying to have a baby. ASAP. So, color me surprised, when the news came out that Kourtney and Travis had gotten married after the Grammys.
While Travis and Kourtney are obviously in a much better place than his ex-wife Shanna Moakler and on-off-again boyfriend Matthew Rondeau, it was still a shocker. Bible. I figured that Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were much more likely to tie the knot. I figured wrong.
Apparently, Kourtney and Travis hit up the One Love Wedding Chapel so they could get married by an Elvis impersonator. Something that was very important to them. How nice. The Chapel wasn’t allowed to take any pictures of them. Which wasn’t a problem. Travis and Kourtney brought along their own photographer and security. As you do.
According to Page Six, this won’t be the only ceremony they will have either. Now that sounds more like a KUWTK wedding to me. No? Several different ceremonies, all celebrating Kourtney and Travis. And all filmed for Hulu,’s The Kardashians, I presume?
The question everyone is asking, however, is did they have a marriage license for this wedding ceremony. If they did, it’s legal. If not, they aren’t legally married. According to a source at the Wedding Chapel, you can’t get married there without one. According to a Travis/Kourtney source, they didn’t have one. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
