Self-proclaimed maven of upscale living, Heather Dubrow decided to take on the marriage woes of Dr. Jen Armstrong and Ryne Holliday. In order to get a better read on Ryne and Jen’s issues, Heather invited the conflicted couple to a dinner party at her lavish home. Of course, the Real Housewives of Orange County event was full-on Heather Dubrow and the expectation for impeccable etiquette and manners seemed to take a toll on the free-spirited Ryne.
Jen chose to respond without compassion and instead got wasted, and indicated that she was embarrassed by her husband’s behavior. Ladies, the man just wanted to keep his shirt clean. It’s interesting that the three couples that dined with Ryne and Jen described him as, “shy,” “sweet,” and “uncomfortable,” but Jen called him “aloof” in confessional. What’s going on here? And why is Heather getting such a good read on this couple while Jen can’t even realize that Ryne doesn’t want her getting wasted in public?
It’s obvious that the couple have some issues to work on, and when RHOC cast mate Shannon Beador appeared on Watch What Happens Live, the mother of three labeled the whole situation as “cringe.” Here’s what she said when asked to respond to Terry Dubrow’s assessment that Jen and Ryne are a “mess.”

Shannon agreed, “Well, it was a mess. It was cringe. People use the word ‘cringe.’ That being said I did feel a little bad, because, you know, of course she wasn’t proud of what happened. We’ve all been there though.”
Host Andy Cohen brought up a good point, and one that happens often when a Real Housewives spouse is more comfortable being filmed than the other. “I think also, Ryne may not love the cameras,” Andy suggested.
“Of course he doesn’t, it’s quite clear,” Shannon responded, “but you don’t go right outside the door and start texting on your phone where people can see you.”
Shannon is no stranger to exposing her marital issues to the world. She and ex-husband David Beador were in the flailing era in their marriage when Shannon joined the show. Nothing was held back, and it was heartbreaking to watch.

Andy asked Shannon to comment on filming with David. He said, “the stuff early on, that was such heavy stuff. Talking about his affair and all that stuff on camera. Did you have moments where, the cameras would leave, and he would say, ‘don’t make me do this?’ We did a very awkward one on one with the two of you.”
“That was bad, I know,” Shannon responded, “It was. But you know what? No, we had many discussions before I came back my second season about we’re either going to talk about what’s happening or I can’t be on the show anymore.”
Jen and Ryne announced their split last month, so their interactions can only be expected to get more “cringe” as the season progresses.
