It’s been a long hot minute since we’ve heard anything about Big Brother. Just kidding. With the wrap of Celebrity Big Brother, there’s been a whole lot of press surrounding the show as of lately. Winner Miesha Tate aside, we’ve had Lamar Odom straightening things out, Carson Kressley making an apology tour, and Todrick Hall refusing any press, presumably because his ego won’t let him he feels bad about his actions.
It’s been a whole lot of celebrity. Now, we’ve got some news of the regular Big Brother variety. And this takes us all the way back to season 19. Or as I like to call it, the season of shocking showmances. Lest we forget, season 19 also brought us (and The Challenge) winner Josh Martinez, but I digress.
The showmances weren’t shocking because they happened, but because three of them lasted for a time outside of the house. Matt Clines and Raven Walton, Mark Janssen and Elena Davies, and Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson all did the unthinkable. And while Matt and Raven and Mark and Elena eventually went their separate ways, Jessica and Cody did not.
Jessica and Cody parlayed their drama filled break-up/make-up cycle from Big Brother to winning The Amazing Race. They got engaged, married, and added two daughters, Maverick and Carter, to older sister Paisley, Cody’s daughter from a previous relationship.

The pair have made no secret about how grateful they have been for their reality experiences. Cody shared on Instagram that, “I had no idea that one day I would be on [Big Brother], nor that it would change the course of my life forever. I met the love of my life, Jessica. I don’t say that lightly. Since the day we met, we’ve spent almost every waking and sleeping moment together. We are inseparable. We would go on to win The Amazing Race together as a team, and this would give us the money to buy our house, grow our businesses, get married, and start our family.”
And that family is growing. US Weekly has now confirmed that Cody and Jessica are expecting their third child together. There had been speculation that something was afoot when the two started building a larger home together, and now we know.
Jessica shared an Instagram reel announcing the news, along with a sweet caption. “Nickson Addition 08.2022 @babynickson. A lot of you have already guessed it and it’s nice to not have to hide it anymore. We prayed for you & now we can’t wait to meet you.” Oh look, the baby already has an Instagram account. I think that’s nice. Never too soon to get them started. Am I right?!?!
