There’s only been two episodes of the new season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey but we already in the thick of the drama. In case you missed it, the first episode came with a huge bombshell thanks to Margaret Josephs. She exposed a decade old affair that Bill Aydin had whilst Jennifer Aydin was nine months pregnant and about to give birth to their fourth child.
In the midst of that however, viewers were glued to the TV screen to see Jennifer’s latest plastic surgery, a nose job which she got whilst on vacation in Turkey, her native country. There have been plenty of opinions swirling online about Jennifer’s procedure, including from (ex) housewives such as Tamra Judge.
Speaking on her podcast Two T’s in a Pod which she co-hosts with fellow (ex) housewife Teddi Mellencamp (still can’t get my head around how this combination came about?), Tamra had PLENTY to say about Jennifer. Whilst co-host Teddi was absent, Tamra bridged together the plastic surgery procedure with Jennifer’s marriage woes. She began “she [Jennifer] got a nose job. It wasn’t from her plastic surgeon husband, which is kind of weird to me…but then again they don’t have a great relationship”.
Trying to relate to the breakdown of her marriage to Simon Barney Tamra continued, “thinking about when I was ending my marriage with Simon, would I want him to give me a freaking nose job? Hell no. I would have looked like I had a penis hanging off of my nose for sure.” She then added, “I think that’s probably why she didn’t go to him, but I’m just throwing that out there. It’s just kind of weird.”

I don’t think I would draw the same comparisons as Tamra with her previous marriage. Jennifer and Bill seem to have worked this out and tackled the infidelity and rocky period of their marriage 10 years ago. They (at least publicly) are seen as a strong couple who are really in love. But maybe I’m naïve, and Tamra, with her experience of divorce is in a better position to identify a marriage which is falling apart.
She noted, “it’s sad. I do like her, but I feel like there’s a bit of a disconnect there.” I like Jennifer too, and it really has been heartbreaking seeing her re-open an old wound, and dealing with something which was so private and (what she thought was) a tightly kept secret to having it exposed on a global platform.
Tamra didn’t stop there, she had more to say about the nose job itself. “By the way, who finds a plastic surgeon on Instagram in another country and decides ‘yes, that’s who’s gonna do my nose’?” I have to say, I was alarmed that Jennifer did this too, especially because she literally has a plastic surgeon in her home. She has the money to be able to afford the best plastic surgeons money can buy, why do it on a whim on vacation?

Tamra then went on to say, “I don’t mean to be mean, but her nose looked better before…I hate to even dwell on it, but her nose looked fine before.” Well, Tamra has never been afraid to share her opinion. The good thing is, Jennifer has been somewhat calm and open minded about people’s comments about her surgery, so at least Tamra can sleep at night knowing she doesn’t have to face the wrath of Jennifer Aydin.
