Contrast are in order! Fans of Bling Empire will remember Cherie Chan and Jessey Lee, the adorable couple with 2 young kids. They didn’t get enough air time for me, but they both had pretty busy lives. They ended up making their time on the show count with an adorable proposal by Cherie during a party filmed for the show. Jessey said yes and then later surprised her with a marriage proposal of his own in August of 2021.
Turns out, he had good reason for the extra proposal. As reported by E! News, the Cherie and Jessey secretly tied the knot about a month later. The ceremony took place at the Château de Saran castle in Champagne, France. Due to covid restrictions, the couple only had 8 guests. They plan on having a larger wedding at a later time so additional family and friends can celebrate.
Cherie shared of her special day, “This wedding, he planned everything. I was not excited to get married because, for me back then, I wanted to get married because I wanted my mom to be there. And he did everything, so I think I got lucky. I didn’t have to do anything, I wasn’t bridezilla.”
Cherie wore a custom made gown by Nicole + Felicia wedding dress, which was absolutely stunning. The dress boasted 500 yards of tulle and a 12 foot train. Her vail featured thousands of ostrich feathers and crystals and a jeweled headband. For his part, Jessey wowed in a black suit by Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.

Cherie presented Jessey with a super special wedding gift by writing and recording a song for him, titled “Destiny.” The couple filmed the wedding and them edited the footage to be a music video for the song. It will premiere on Cherie’s YouTube channel on Valentine’s Day. The song will also debut on iTunes and Spotify on the same day.
As for their time on the show, the couple previously on the fence about coming back. But ultimately, they decided against returning for season 2. Jessey explained, “We just thought it was time for us to move on and focus on our family, our businesses.” I’m so bummed they won’t be back, but it sounds like we will be seeing more of them in some kind of capacity.
