They’re back! Months after Keeping Up With The Kardashians ended its 20-season reign on E!, the Kardashian/Jenner family are returning to reality TV with an all-new show on Hulu. The family announced a multi-year deal with Hulu shortly after they confirmed the end of KUWTK. But since announcing their deal with the streaming service, the family has been uncharacteristically tight-lipped about what we can expect from their new show. However, Hulu has finally released a teaser trailer, and we’ve also got a premiere date for when the Kardashians will be back on our screens.
As Us Weekly reported, Hulu announced that the new show, simply titled The Kardashians, will premiere on Thursday, April 14th. The announcement came along with a teaser trailer featuring Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, and Kris Jenner posing in glass boxes and wearing shades of white before dramatically breaking free from their glass encasements. Then, they strut towards the camera with animated glass flying across the screen, and the tagline teases, “All the walls will be shattered.”
On Instagram, the caption along with the teaser says, “Shatter all expectations.” But it’s not immediately clear how they’re planning on doing that. From what we know so far about the show, it’s hard to tell how this will be any different from Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Did they just drop a few words from the title and jump over to Hulu? The official description for the series certainly makes it seem that way. Late last year, Hulu shared their synopsis of the show: “The Kardashian/Jenner family bring their exciting next chapter to Hulu in this new, intimate journey into their lives.”

Of course, since Kris is the momager mastermind behind all of this, she had a vision for what the show would entail. While promoting the show at Disney Upfronts last year, she teased, “This is the next chapter. In the new show, you’ll see us evolving as a family, fans want us to be who we are, and since moment one, they’ve been emotionally invested in our show just like we are. The fans will love seeing us continue the journey. I can’t say much about what’s coming, but spoiler, we’re going to look fabulous, and everyone’s going to watch.”
She’s right. They’ll look fabulous, and we’ll definitely be watching. And if the new show is anything like KUWTK, we’ll hopefully be seeing the family’s perspective on the many stories they’ve been involved with throughout the last year. From Kim and Kanye West’s messy divorce to Kylie’s new baby with the ultra-problematic Travis Scott, there’s plenty of drama for this new chapter of Kardashian content. But will they actually put the family’s real issues on full display? We’ll have to wait until April to find out.
