Season 3 of Celebrity Big Brother is right around the corner, and the internet has been abuzz about which celebrities will be competing. Every day, a new list pops up from supposed “insiders” who claim to know all of the houseguests, typically consisting of a combination of reality stars, former athletes, and actors you may have forgotten. But one name that keeps coming up on everyone’s casting list this year is NeNe Leakes. Although all of the “insiders” make it seem like she’s a shoo-in for the competition, the Real Housewives of Atlanta OG is casting doubt on all of these season 3 casting rumors.
One particular Celebrity Big Brother cast list claimed that NeNe, along with Tiffany “New York” Pollard, and Lamar Odom, would be among the celebrities entering the house. Many Big Brother fans interpreted this as fact. Maybe it’s wishful thinking because, honestly, the thought of New York and NeNe Leakes on the same show sounds nothing short of iconic.
But unfortunately, NeNe is casting doubt on all of these casting rumors. So now we don’t know what to believe. In a screenshot captured by the Instagram account, Comments By Bravo, she replied to a post mentioning her as a houseguest for the upcoming season, saying, “Ya’ll must know something I don’t. This is news to me.”

Bloop. The same story that NeNe replied to also claimed that Tiffany Pollard isn’t joining the cast anymore because she’s refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine. So, there goes our hopes and dreams of seeing NeNe and New York team up for an epic reality TV crossover moment. Can you imagine the memes and GIFs this could have created?
Season 3 of Celebrity Big Brother is set to premiere on February 2 on CBS, and we’ll have to wait for the official word from the network on who will be joining as a houseguest. Although NeNe is casting doubt on the rumors that she’ll be competing, we can surely expect to see at least one Real Housewife in the cast. So far, they’ve always had one in the house. Brandi Glanville competed in season 1, and NeNe’s RHOA costar Kandi Burruss made it all the way to fifth place in the second season.
