Married At First Sight Recap: – Nice Day For A Wicked Wedding

Things are finally starting to get rolling on Married At First Sight.  Last week, we saw one couple get married and this week, there are two more added to the list. Honestly, I wish we could fast forward through the weddings and go straight to the honeymoon. People seem to start letting their guards down and show their true personality once they travel together. But no good story ever begins without a little background.

New couples tie the knot, but two other sets of strangers prepare for the biggest day of their lives. As the stress builds and reality sets in, one bride is left unsure of her decision. Meanwhile an independent groom hopes that married life will suit him. Let’s get straight into the recap!

Jasmina and Michael

Jasmina and Michael will be the second couple to walk down the aisle on this season of Married At First Sight. They both have the support of their friends and family as they prepare to take a huge leap of faith. Michael reflects on his late mother who won’t be in attendance for his wedding. But he believes she has given her blessings from heaven. Meanwhile Jasmina is now feeling the pressure of a union with a complete stranger. Once she meets her husband you can she is nervous when her groom is being described. Everyone relaxes when she reads her vows and provides some comic relief and sweet words. Michael’s vows are thoughtful. They even share a kiss on the lips to seal the deal. He gets several high fives as he walks out hand and hand with his beautiful wife.

After the wedding, the happy couple seems very comfortable with one another. Their families are getting along well and are excited to add another member. Michael expresses his attraction right away and Jasmina admits to a “little spark” in post interviews.  There is something I like about them both. I am looking forward to watching this relationship progress.

Lindsey and Mark

Lindsey and Mark are now married and are faced with the challenge of getting to know each other in a room full of their family and friends. Mark has finally realized he isn’t dealing with the average wife. He has wild one, but he hasn’t run for the hills, just yet. Let’s see how long that lasts. Lindsey may just be what this show needs. I don’t think anyone will ever accuse her of being boring. Her husband is going to have to stay on his toes if he wants to keep up.

Katina and Olajuwon

As Olajuwon prepares to walk down the aisle his family worries if his expectations will hinder his marriage. I don’t think there is anything to wonder about. If you are going to participate in a show like Married At First Sight you need to be open minded, not have set expectations of a woman you have never met. On the wedding day, Katina is feeling positive about her choice to marry a stranger. Olajuwon is still reminiscing about his college days when he gave women his fake name, “Isaac” so his reputation didn’t catch up to him. Honestly, I think if he truly changed, he wouldn’t still be talking about his old exploits. For now, I will keep my eye on him. I was shocked when he broke down and started crying before heading to the alter. Katina wows her groom when he sees her walking down the aisle. He immediately fishes for a compliment when she doesn’t automatically offer one. I have to admit, he surprised me with his vows. He claimed they were off of the top of his head, but it was clear he really thought about them.

Things are a little awkward once they are all alone after the ceremony. Hopefully it is just nerves and they will be able to relax and feel more comfortable soon. In a post interview, Katina admits to feeling overwhelmed by Olajuwon’s strong personality after he rambled about everything under the sun. Something tells me that he is always that intense.

Noi and Steve

Is it just me or do Steve and Noi make a cute couple? I want them to work just from looks alone. I know it’s superficial, but admit it, they are adorable together. We get to see them both get ready, but we will have to wait until next week for the actual ceremony. I am looking forward to seeing if they get along once they actually meet.
