Keeping Up With The Kardashians is over, but are we ever reallllly done with keeping up with the ultra-famous family? They give us so much to talk about that we don’t even need the show these days (but brace yourself, Hulu subscribers, KUWTK 2.0 is coming). Kim Kardashian, in particular, is as busy as ever as she also embarks on her new journey as a single mom. She’s splitting from Kanye West, who recently legally changed his name to Ye. The rapper, on the other hand, is doing everything in his power to prevent the split. While Kimmy is remaining cordial, she’s moved on to Pete Davidson. See, lots to gossip about.
Ye has been very publically vocal about his desire to patch up his relationship with Kimberly. She’s filed to become legally single in the meantime, but the Kardashian clan (at least, publically) look like excellent co-parents. Kanye recently gave a speech about his family, and said he would buy the house next door to Kim so that he could be close to his kids. It apparently wasn’t a metaphor — Us Weekly reports that Ye literally bought the house across the street from his estranged wife. Kanye’s a lot of things, but he does follow through on his word.

The Hidden Hills home is right across the road from the home he shared with Kim. Kimmy recently paid her ex $23 million to buy him out of the property. His new crib cost him a whopping $4.5 million, which is $421,000 more than the asking price. Kanye was on a mission to stay close, no matter the cost.
But we have to remember that the stars aren’t exactly like us. They aren’t likely to stumble into a neighbor while unlocking the front door or catch a glimpse at the person across the street changing in their window. Kim and Kanye’s homes are literal mega-mansions. And they’re like an army fortress with gates, privacy hedges, and everything else. Luckily, Ye has a very minimal chance of running into Pete while taking out the trash. But will it be awkward or convenient for the West family? Probably a bit of both, realistically.
