Real Housewives Of Orange County Newbie Dr. Jen Armstrong Pays Off $60K Judgment

Jen Armstrong is the latest addition to the revamped Real Housewives of Orange County. She joins newbie Noella Bergener and OG Heather Dubrow. Who is back to save the franchise after quite a few boring seasons. So far, Jen has yet to make much of a splash and I’m hoping we get to see more of her soon. And according to Shannon Beador, Jen is “ballsy.” I would like to see more of that. Said Shannon of her new castmate, “And my first impressions — and I’ve said this often — ballsy. Ballsy. A go-getter. But now that we’ve gotten to know her better, I really get along. I really like her.”

But Jen joined the RHOC team with a few loose financial ends to clear up coming into the season. It was previously reported that the cosmetic dermatologist was hit with a lawsuit ex-husband. He wanted her to pay him back $850K that he supposedly “loaned” her during their marriage. Jen begged to differ and said in court,“He also presented me with stacks of cash on occasion, which I usually declined, and gave me credit cards with no limits to buy whatever I want.” The lawsuit was eventually dismissed.

Unfortunately, Jen had worse luck when it came to avoiding payment on some of her other suits. As reported by Radar Online, Jen recently spent $60K to satisfy a lawsuit filed against her in 2020. The suit was brought by a company named Pawnee Leasing Corporation and was filed on the grounds of beach of contract. They alleged that Dr. Jen leased medical equipment from them and agreed to pay $1,442.78 for 55 months. Pawnee said she stopped paying in February of 2020 and hit her with the suit in May of the same year. At the time, Pawnee alleged, “As of this date, the total amount of the rental payments owing under the Lease … totals $30,936.74.”

In true Real Housewives fashion, Jen blew off the lawsuit and Pawnee convinced the judge on the case to grant a default judgment in the amount of $56,807. The judgement was released just a few weeks before the premiere of RHOC and court documents noted, “judgment is satisfied in full.” Jen still has an outstanding medical negligence case against her from a former patient. Jen still has not responded to said lawsuit.
