With part four of the reunion as a finale, Real Housewives of Potomac’s season has finally come to a close. And what a season it was. Always filled with drama, shade and of course, a good kiki. Well, at least when someone isn’t throwing salad. Super fan Nicki Minaj’s hosting of part four was icing on the cake for the season. While I’m glad she took the women to task, I didn’t love all of her takes and some of the questions were downright pointless. Like when Nicki asked what’s going on in Robyn Dixon and fiancé Juan Dixon’s sex life because he seemed more into her this season. Were we watching the same show? Juan is anything but into Robyn (sadly). She might be a sort of boring housewife but I do think Robyn can find someone who treats her better.
Speaking of boring. Gizelle Bryant and Robyn are now admitting that Robyn almost didn’t make it onto RHOP to begin with. As reported by Reality Blurb, Gizelle and Robyn talked about it openly on their podcast, Reasonably Shady. While Gizelle was supposedly a shoo-in from the jump, they revealed that the casting director initially “hated” Robyn after speaking with her over the phone.
Thankfully, Gizelle swooped in and convinced the casting director to give Robyn a second chance. Gizelle recalled, “I was in. I was good to go and they were like, ‘Do you have any friends?’ And I was like, ‘Yes, her name is Robyn and you’re gonna call her and she’s going to be amazing.’”

She continued, “So, they call this person that I had hyped up, like, I was the hype woman and I was like, ‘She’s amazing.’ And then, Robyn is on the phone [with the casting director] not giving a sh*t, so the guy immediately called me back and was like, ‘I hate her and she’s out!’ And I was like, ‘Oh hell no. Call her back! Call her back! Call her back!’ So, it took Robyn a minute to be nice to casting, so finally, they obviously loved her and the rest is history.”
Well, thank goodness for friends like Gizelle. She might be the messiest one of the bunch (debatable) but at least she rides hard for her friends. No wonder Robyn is always on her side – she owes Gizelle big time. Now can Gizelle keep Robyn around for another season?
