Karen Huger and Gizelle Bryant are two OGs who are solely responsible for some of the best scenes of Real Housewives of Potomac. Their feud began in the early days when they argued over proper seating arrangements at a birthday dinner. Since then, they’ve found ways to bicker about one another’s financial issues (#FreeUncleBen), relationships (aka Jamal Bryant Who Lives In The Phone), and everything in between. And thankfully for us, it’s always made for some of the best TV that Bravo has to offer. But off-camera, the feud can sometimes get pretty nasty.
This season of RHOP wasn’t exactly smooth sailing for the Grande Dame and Gizzy. Karen went hard for Gizelle, claiming that her forever frenemy wished death on Ray Huger years ago. Robyn Dixon will always be in her fellow green-eyed bandit’s corner, but this time, Karen had Wendy Osefo by her side to call out Gizelle’s not-so-reasonably shady behavior.

Usually, the reunion episodes tend to escalate tensions between these two. But this year, the pair actually had a touching moment when they bonded about each other’s children and hugged it out on stage. Karen might NEVER have something positive to say about Gizelle’s sense of style. But it was a heartwarming moment to see two absolute queens put their egos aside and tell it like it is. Other Real Housewives cities should take note.
In a recent interview with Essence, Gizelle gave her opinion on her complicated relationship with La Dame. And shares a similar sentiment that there is love and admiration between the two of them. “There’s always an underlying level of respect there, but she gets on my nerves and I get on her nerves,” Gizelle said. Now THAT’S quite the understatement. “I feel like we are dysfunctional aunties. We get on each other’s nerves but we like to kiki,” Gizzy added. So Karen might accuse Gizelle of having a fake life, but the two can joke about tea-bagging and their COVID-19 vassinations. We love to see it.
