Pass the peace-pipe. There’s next to no conflict Mauricio Umansky’s dumb stoned smile can’t resolve. We stan. After Erika Jayne shared that her feelings were hurt during Kyle Richards’ and Dorit Kemsley’s double date dinner, their house-husbands had some explaining to do. In a rare twist, the four reunion episodes for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills did not include a husband segment. We never got our moment to see Mo or PK Kemsley say anything to Erika’s face. What a shame.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Kyle shared, “We did talk about it, it did hurt her feelings, and Mauricio also spoke to Erika as well as PK.” Mauricio then added, “I apologized, PK and I both apologized to her. And the reality is we weren’t making fun at her, of her, we were just in a conversation that was very funny.” Agreed.
The scene in question included Mauricio and PK yucking it up during a nice dinner. With cameras right in their face the two men started questioning Erika’s infamous car crash story. The version where Tom Girardi rolled down a hill 627 times and was unconscious for 22 hours but then called her from the pits of hell where she found him and carried him back up the cliff to safety…or something. The whole thing is ridiculous quite frankly. The very idea that people wouldn’t be laughing at her is even more embarrassing if you ask me.

According to Kyle, “They apologized, we apologized and moved on. It was confusing.” She elaborated, “I understand why when you’re explaining a story like that with the cameras, you do get stressed. I understand she was stressed so that’s why there were missing pieces and it was overwhelming and she was probably analyzing everything she said because she’s married to this lawyer.” Meh. I guess.
Let’s not forget about the deleted scene from this season either. The one where both Kyle and Mauricio referred to Tom as “super sharp” and “savvy.” They also mentioned that “[Tom’s] mind is 100% there. He’s in good shape. He’s a great human being.” Granted, this was before they knew about Erika’s updated marching orders for the camera the orphans and the widows. Either way, one of these couples is pulling the wool over the others’ eyes!
