We all love a happy ending. And it looks like Meghan King got hers. Just a few short weeks ago, she revealed that she was dating President Joe Biden’s nephew, Cuffe Owens. She announced it via Instagram in a post that read, “Trying my best to avoid any cheesy introductions like ‘my main squeeze’ … so just meet my man.”
Turns out, her new man became her husband after only three weeks of dating. As reported by Us Weekly, the former Real Housewives of Orange County star shared the details with Brides magazine. She explained their relationship timeline, “[We] texted for a day or two, then spent five straight hours on the phone the first time we spoke. By the time that call ended, Cuffe was booked and packed for a flight to St. Louis that took off in about eight hours. Within a week, we were back on the East Coast, meeting his family, and starting to plan our future together. We didn’t leave each other’s side for weeks.”
As for her wedding, Meghan said, “Our wedding was about two things for us. Our love for and commitment to each other, and our family — each of our families, and the new very large and very tight family that we were bonding together by getting married. That’s it.”
While the couple played with the idea of getting married in L.A., they ultimately decided to get married at Cuffe’s parent’s home in Pennsylvania. Even President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden attended the affair.

Meghan added, “We both knew exactly what we were going to do, where we were going to do it, and how we were going to do it. It’s a beautiful thing to see eye-to-eye with each other as we do. I bought thousands of dollars worth of dresses online — everything from traditional gowns to cocktail dresses off the rack. And, breaking from tradition, I tried all of them on for Cuffe to see. We both found ourselves getting caught up in expectations of tradition with the dress when I just decided to wear what felt most like ‘me.’”
Meghan finalized her divorce from her garbage monster ex, Jim Edmonds, in May. Since then, she’s had a rough go at love, so I’m thrilled that she seems to have found Mr. Right. The timing might be quick but they say “when you know, you know.” Here’s hoping Meghan has found her happy ending. Either way, I think we can all agree that it’s a huge step up from Jim.
