Crystal Kung Minkoff Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

Crystal Kung Minkoff Felt “Unsafe” Getting In The Middle Of Erika Jayne And Sutton Stracke’s Drama

While I’m definitely not buying Erika Jayne’s act this season on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I do believe she’s showing her true colors, albeit, inadvertently. The words coming out of her mouth about her divorce from Tom Girardi and their mountain of financial issues don’t add up. But her cold-hearted behavior, especially when it came to her bullying antics toward Sutton Stracke, is 100% real. Sutton’s the only one brave enough to question Erika’s convoluted stories. So I don’t blame her for getting a bodyguard — no one else has her back. Except for Garcelle Beauvais.

The newest RHOBH housewife Crystal Kung Minkoff is a bit of an anomaly to me. It’s obvious she’s warming up in front of the camera and brings a good dose of real-life Hollywood wealth to the show. However, I don’t love her approach when it comes to the Erika Jayne of it all. She’s been pretty wishy-washy about the situation. And defending Erika’s cold ways. But now she has come back to defend herself for not defending Sutton.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Crystal says she could see “both sides” of the Erika and Sutton drama. “Because for me, if someone called me a liar, that is super damaging to my integrity [and] my family’s integrity,” Crystal said. But when Sutton questions Erika and is a bit wary of her reputation, that’s going too far. Confusing. She added that she would have left the situation like Sutton did after Erika yelled at her.

“But this is, like, real stuff. I wasn’t silly fighting. This was really intense [with] the legalities of things,” Crystal continued. “There was a lot going on, so maybe that’s why I was more quiet. To insert myself into such a heavy topic felt unsafe for me as well.” I get her point, but that only reiterates why the ladies should’ve come to Sutton’s defense. Dorit Kemsley had no qualms about calling Garcelle a bully. But when it comes to calling out Erika, that crosses the line? She doesn’t even really trust any of the ladies besides Lisa Rinna. I don’t get the hold she has on them.

Crystal also related Erika and Sutton’s feud to her own tiff with the Southern Belle. “They can be cordial. That’s how Sutton and I got to a good place,” Crystal said. She compared it to putting a band-aid on the situation, which seems like it would work well for someone like Erika who keeps things surface level.
