Do you guys remember when Tamra Judge was “let go” from Real Housewives of Orange County? When she and fellow Tres Amiga compadre Vicki Gunvalson tried to convince us that it was their choice to walk away from the show that made them household names, and not a network decision to take away their oranges? And then there was the rumor that Tamra might be appearing on the Real Housewives All Stars quickly followed by the conformation that this was not the case. And then we found out that both Vicki and Tamra were in fact confirmed to be filming the second installment of the series. I don’t know about you guys, but all this back and forth has given me whiplash.
It’s only been a minute since Tamra last tried to convince us she was coming back to film RHOC, and only obtained a collective, “Sure Jan,” for her efforts. But now, with the return of Miss Fancy Pants herself, Heather Dubrow, in play… all of a sudden the door of possibility seems to be slightly ajar. Who better to join Heather in her attempts to knock Shannon Beador off her Uno Amigo high horse than Tammy Sue?
Currently, Tamra and Shannon aren’t talking, which doesn’t leave room for many on the table tequila fueled shenanigan’s. Nor will we be treated to the self-proclaimed hottest housewife’s latest elective procedure. And, considering Braunwyn Windham-Burke wont be around for drunken hook-ups, what in the world would Tamra even bring to the show?
Don’t you worry yourself too much about that. Tamra has the ultimate solution. If Bravo were to bring her back, she would be willing to film with ex-husband Simon Barney… on camera. You know, if RHOC had any interest in it.

According to Screen Rant,on a recent episode of the podcast Side Piece with Melissa Pfeister this is exactly what Tamra is planning to do. Now don’t get me wrong… the Tamra/Simon drama elicited some of my best at screen ranting of the entire series (Who can forget the condescending way he spoke to her All. The. Time.)… however, it’s been a minute, their kids are basically grown, and do we really think this is a good idea?
According to Tamra, now is the time. The two have apparently put aside their parenting differences and become friends, of a sort. “I would like to be able to go back and show that side of our relationship, because I feel like he forever gets a bad rap because he was on the show and he was uptight . . . He was never a horrible guy, he was just very conservative, and none of it made him comfortable. I think now it would be a little bit different to see a softer side of him.”
I mean, if this is true, and he’s a different person now, doesn’t that also make him a little less of a character? Characters being what the foundation of RHOC is built on. I’m not sure if I’m down to watch Tamra and Simon meet for coffee and exchange book recommendations.
