Somehow the latest episode of the Real Housewives of Potomac wasn’t all about the supposed change in Wendy Osefo’s character since last season. Or her surgically enhanced chest. The ladies tried to leave all that behind in Virginia. Instead, there is trouble brewing between Mia Thornton and Candiace Dillard Bassett. The commentary about Candiace emasculating Chris Bassett by having him as her unpaid “husband-ger” will ignite Candiace in a way that Mia has yet to see.
It seems most of the cast has backed off from suggesting Wendy got plastic surgery to keep husband Eddie Osefo in line. Except Robyn Dixon. Robyn, who always seems to be a step behind in all the drama and had her own face-off with Wendy, is still discussing it.
Robyn’s most exciting moment this season was going up against Wendy in Virginia. Other than that, her whole story line has been her lack of motivation to wake up in the morning. Riveting. And Robyn alluded to both during a recent interview with Slice.Ca.
Robyn still stands by her intuition that something was amiss with Wendy. “Very early on, I felt a different energy from her,” she explained, “I felt she was being different and it had nothing to do with her physical differences. I couldn’t put my finger on it and I couldn’t articulate it.”

Perhaps Wendy was behaving differently, but the trigger for her was the RHOP ladies pinning it on wrong-doing by Eddie. No evidence was presented to prove the rumors that Eddie fathered a love-child were true. That was the mistake that alienated Wendy from the rest of the group.
Robyn acknowledged that her cast mates concerns about Wendy were misguided. She explained, “what I’m seeing on camera is definitely what I was seeing and feeling. And I was seeing someone and feeling someone who was colder towards us, who was more confrontational, who is more performative. It’s unfortunate that the focus got put on the changes to her body.”
The cast may have put this issue to bed for now, but it has by no means been resolved. Wendy is still treading carefully with this group and there is underlying tension. Robyn said, “we considered each other friends and we hung out. For me, it was so disappointing to see this change in her but it was so hard for me to articulate.”
