It’s crunch-time people — Season 2 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is less than a week away. And just from the trailers and teasers, it looks like it will somehow top the show’s first season. Jen Shah’s arrest will be central to the story, but there’s bound to be a lot more drama outside of that. Heather Gay might be a fan-favorite, but she’s seemingly pissed off a few of her cast members. And now that Mary Cosby has finally escaped her closet, it looks like she’ll have a BIG season that has nothing to do with hospital smells.
Mary’s quite the character. From her unusual marriage to her step-grandpa and her questionable comments, she can be polarizing. And as the First Lady of a major church, it looks like from the trailer she’ll be having to debate rumors that her congregation is a cult. Seriously, no other city has the same problems as the RHOSLC ladies.
Mary has doubled down that she doesn’t run a cult, but it’s going to be a topic of conversation nonetheless. And in a recent cast interview with Entertainment Tonight, Heather brought up the cult rumors. “You’ll hear people on the show say that she is,” Heather said. “And to be fair, I grew up Mormon my entire life. So I wouldn’t know a cult if it bit me in the a**.” I freakin love Heather.
And Meredith Marks decided to engage and defend Mary, “I’ve been to her church. I do not believe that she’s a cult leader.” While Meredith says she can’t speak on what goes on when she’s not in attendance but felt it was a “very uplifting place.”

Meredith commended Mary for running a high-energy church that her patrons seemed to enjoy visiting. “So from my own personal experience, I have no reason to believe that it is anything other than a church,” Meredith added. And that’s it on that. Love you baby, bye! Let’s remember that if you come for Mary or her church, she will send Jesus after you. That’s quite the threat, so watch your tongue.
Heather also dished in the interview that Jen’s arrest was the “smallest part of the drama of Season 2.” Excuse me??? I cannot wait to see what’s in store. Meredith says she doesn’t think it’s exactly the smallest, but it definitely was “not the biggest part.” Lisa Barlow chimed in to make some sense out of their comments. “It just exemplified everything,” Lisa said. “I felt like it was intense before that.”
