Michelle Young The Bachelor The Bachelorette

The Next Bachelor Is Reportedly From Michelle Young’s Season Of The Bachelorette

Things move so fast in Bachelor Nation. Most of us are still thinking about Bachelor in Paradise and what’s going to happen this week with Brendan Morais and Pieper James. Will they be kicked  out by Natasha Parker, Joe Amabile, and Riley Christian? Or were their apologies sufficient enough to stay on the beach? All I know is that I want to see where former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs end up. Thomas did after all proclaim on Katie Thurston’s season that he wanted to be the lead on The Bachelor.

It doesn’t look like it’s happening for Thomas though. US Weekly confirms that Katie’s finalists are going to have to find love the old-fashioned way (or on Bachelor in Paradise).” This is because “one of the stars of the upcoming season of The Bachelorette will go on to be the next Bachelor.”

This means that someone from Michelle Young’s season is going to be the new Bachelor. Sorry Gregg Grippo and Andrew Spencer who “were in talks to hand out roses.” Tyler Cameron “was also in consideration to be the next lead,” but alas, “production is set to wrap on Michelle Young’s journey to find love later this month and there will be a quick turnaround to begin filming season 26 of The Bachelor.”

This “decision to name one of the Bachelorette season 18 contestants the next lead comes more than one month before Michelle’s season premieres on October 19.” It seems like they’re filming things back-to-back because COVID halted production for so long. “Katie and Michelle were announced as the next leads at Matt James’ After the Final Rose in March,” which is where we usually learn who the next Bachelor or Bachelorette will be. But with how things are moving, maybe we’ll find out sooner!

Let’s not get too far ahead though. Some of us (me) are super excited to see Michelle as The Bachelorette. “I was a little nervous, but once I found out that it was two different seasons, I was here for it,” Michelle shared on Matt’s After the Final Rose. “I really do think that this process works,” she continued. “When you can set down all these outside distractions and really dive in, I think you can learn a lot about somebody… I’m ready to get started.” And we’re ready to watch you find love, Michelle!
