With so much bad news in the world, sometimes, it’s hard to feel excited when good things happen. But one thing we can all come together and celebrate is the fact that Meghan McCain is no longer on The View. Daytime TV is a quieter, more tolerant place without her. We should all appreciate the fact that we’ll never have to see EGOT winner Whoopi Goldberg being subjected to Meghan’s televised temper tantrums.
With Meghan gone, the executives at ABC have a really big void to fill. So they’ve decided to go the Jeopardy! route and use a rotating group of guest co-hosts before they select a permanent replacement. A handful of conservative pundits are in the lineup, ranging from Condoleezza Rice to Gretchen Carlson. Luckily, none of the women in the running are executive producers of The View.
So, fingers crossed, this selection process goes more smoothly than it did over at Jeopardy! For the Bravoholics out there, we’re excited to see two Bravolebs on the roster as guest co-hosts: Cameran Eubanks from Southern Charm and Eboni K. Williams from The Real Housewives of New York City.
Eboni recently opened up about the new job, and she’s eager to sit in Meghan’s old spot. As reported by Daily Mail, Eboni recently appeared on Behind the Velvet Rope With David Yontef. In the interview, she spoke about her excitement to appear as a guest co-host on such a legendary show. When asked if she’d be open to joining the show as a permanent co-host, she said, “I guess the short answer is, that would be something I would be extremely excited to have a conversation about because the topics on there are so important.”

Eboni’s time on RHONY has undoubtedly been good practice for a show like The View. Eboni may have started in a rough spot with the ladies, but by the end of the season, she was an expert at staying calm and communicating clearly in the face of opposition. If you can take a ride on the Ramonacoaster, you can handle anything. However, on the podcast, Eboni said that it’s her experience from law school that will help her navigate the new gig.
“The ability to sit with one another’s perspectives without sitting to respond, but sitting to listen, going back to that skill, we learn in law school, the ability to listen and not just only be stuck in your argument, but be open to just some level of fluidity in your thinking in your unconscious bias.”
The View could be a great next step for Eboni. In the past, she was a political commentator for Fox News, and she was basically a political commentator this season on RHONY. So having a platform like The View could be a perfect fit.

The new season of The View kicked off on September 7 with the panelists appearing in their studio for the first time in over a year. It’s also the show’s 25th anniversary, so overall, it’s an exciting time to be a fan of The View and an exciting time for RHONY’s first Black Housewife to join the legacy.
