During the most recent episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the cast members decided to ask Erika Jayne some hard questions about her legal issues. The ladies want to know how much Erika knew about her husband’s alleged criminal activity.
Scratch that–RHOBH co-star Sutton Stracke asked the hard questions. Awkward! It was certainly a Christmas dinner that Erika would very much like to forget.
In case you have been living under a rock somewhere, Erika’s ex, Tom Girardi, is being accused of failing to pay clients $26 million dollars in settlement funds. He also allegedly gave $20 million dollars in loans from his law firm to Erika’s company, EJ Global. Erika filed for divorce, but it was reportedly all a scam to hang on to their assets. Now Tom’s clients can go after Erika’s assets to collect what they are owed.
While Erika has proclaimed her innocence through mascara-stained tears, RHOBH co-star Lisa “Own It” Rinna has been pretty quiet. Last season, Lisa shamed Denise Richards, her friend of 20 years, for allegedly having a sexual encounter with show alum Brandi Glanville.
Denise left the show after that season. Fans are slamming Lisa for refusing to ask Erika to “own” anything. Lisa was never my spirit animal, but I find this annoying.
Lisa’s toxic behavior last season fractured her friendship with Garcelle Beauvais. Garcelle wasn’t happy about how most of the RHOBH cast tip-toed around Erika, but viciously took down Denise. “Some of them knew Denise longer than Erika, so I don’t get it either,” Garcelle stated. “That’s really baffling to me is how come they believe Erika right out the gate and they never believed Denise?” Exactly!
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Lisa attempted to explain why she was treating Erika with kid gloves. “I know everyone thinks that Denise and I were close. We were acquaintances, much like I am with Garcelle,” Lisa stated. “I have become close friends with Erika.”
According to HollywoodLife, Lisa defended Erika when she started receiving death threats. Just to be clear–sending death threats to anyone is NEVER okay. Erika posted a screenshot on Instagram of part of an article that alleged that she “spent $25 M from estranged husband’s law firm on her glam squad, PR firms, a dance agency, and 14 M in AMEX purchases.”
Erika included someone’s comment that “@theprettymess needs to be executed.” The RHOBH star commented, “Trying to kill me now? Stop threatening my life.” That is definitely scary.

But it didn’t stop there. Erika shared another screenshot of a direct message from the same Instagram user that threatened her. “Feeling scared yet? The further the season gets, the more you should be worried about being in public…..talk about a marked woman,” the user wrote. “More threats…” Erika commented. Dorit Kemsley posted a crying face emoji. Garcelle wrote, “Not ok!!!!”
Then Lisa went on Instagram with an epic post. She wrote, “Be angry be scared be hurt be devastated cry feel all of the grief. Feel all of the feelings. But please don’t threaten to kill us or our families,” Lisa said.
“We are here doing the best we can with a real-life situation that is playing out in real time. We are devastated for the victims orphans and widows,” she stated. “Please be patient and be hopeful that justice will prevail.” This Instagram post was later deleted.
