Whether you’re ready or not, Season 16 of the Real Housewives of Orange County is fast approaching. Heather Dubrow is coming back, Kelly Dodd and Braunwyn Windham-Burke are out and, for some reason, Shannon Beador is still here. Hey, it’s better than last year. The word is still out whether Tamra Judge will make a return, but she sure loves to tease it.
Shannon’s spot as the current longest-running RHOC cast member is perplexing, to say the least. She came onto the scene married to David Beador, with three children and a whole lot of marital problems. After “the affair” of it all, we saw Shannon have breakdowns about her weight loss journey, her friends, her ex, and everything in between. And try to have her holistic doctor acupuncture the negativity out of her or whatever. And even though she and Kelly repeatedly got into toxic arguments throughout their time on the show, they somehow made up during Season 15. And for once, I found myself agreeing with Vicki Gunvalson that Shannon’s definition of friendship is fishy.
Shannon has been scrambling during the current filming of Season 16 to get her 17-year-old twins to be allowed to film the show. David wasn’t signing off on it initially, for the reason that he wanted Shannon to promise not to bash his new wife and new baby on camera. Which seems reasonable enough, but not to Shannon.
She apparently wouldn’t pinky swear over a bowl of nine lemons to do so. And Shannon filed an emergency order in court over it because without her kids, what is her storyline these days anyways? She’s already lost her two amigas. She doesn’t have much else.

And in a recent report from Radar Online, Shannon apparently got what she wanted. A judge ruled that the twins are allowed to “continue filming as cast members of the reality show” without interference from David. I know that silver fox of a man is angrily munching on chips finding out this news. But to his luck, it won’t be captured on camera anymore.
In exchange, Shannon has to pay almost $7,000 in David’s lawyers’ fees, which probably pissed her off as well. But the hearings have been canceled, saving her from wasting even more money on fighting her husband in the legal system. Now enough of the nonsense and bring on Season 16.
