Anyone else still reeling from the Garcelle Beauvais and Erika Jayne show down last week? I had to go back and watch again after learning about what really happened (allegedly) before the editing room did their thing with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills footage. Before my rewatch I was more confused than Kathy Hilton trying to dust up a kitchen floor. Anyone else?
It seems that the conversation between Crystal Kung Minkoff and Erika about Tom Girardi’s phone calls was edited over footage of Crystal, Garcelle, and Erika walking together. Later, Garcelle made a point to recreate the conversation trapping Erika in her own web in front of a full camera crew and all the women. Thanks to whichever producer made that magic happen!
We all saw the argument explode between Garcelle and EJ. It seemed obvious from Garcelle’s face that she regretted taking the advice of production and bringing the inconsistency to light. Even if she wasn’t, I still appreciate her for the effort. Garcelle is a real one for that.
At the same time, Garcelle still believes Erika was legitimately going through it during their filming. In an interview with Access, Garcelle shared, “Everything was developing as we shot. Literally, we’d wake up and there’d be something that the producers either texted us or were reading online or we’re hearing in the news. I mean it was really hard.”
Garcelle also revealed, “I believe she didn’t know all of it. I believe she didn’t know all of it. Is there something she could have known, maybe but you know every marriage has a different dynamic.” Wait. Is saying “she didn’t know all of it,” the same as saying, “she knew some of it”? I vote yes.

“I felt like I was really in the know, wait no, let me take that back. I was NOT in the know about everything in my marriage…When you’re dealing with a guy that’s that high-powered, I don’t think he told her everything,” Garcelle continued.
Garcelle then reminded viewers, “When they met she was 22 years old, I don’t know how much business things he would talk to her about. So I don’t know, we’re all really learning as we go along. I think Erika is learning as we go along.” Just like how she only recently learned what banks are, apparently!
Though this season promised to “hold nothing back“, it seems like we are only just getting into the moments of Erika’s true descent into her legal madness. Here’s to hoping the women earn their diamonds and bring the heat in our final episodes!
