Malia White somehow has managed to NOT be the most disliked crew member this season of Below Deck Mediterranean. After she pulled the snitch move last year and got Hannah Ferrier fired for having prescription meds on board, she totally lost any fans she had. Her deep dedication to Captain Sandy Yawn, despite Sandy’s disheartening comments about her, is confusing. But thankfully, she has Chef Mathew Shea and Lexi Wilson taking the bottom two spots on the boat. But to be fair, they did have to go to extreme lengths to do so.
Malia has been dealing with drama with Lexi ever since Satan showed her face a few episodes ago. And leading her deck crew, some of whom are fresh meat when it comes to the yachting biz. Outside of work and attempting to stay out of Lexi’s way, Malia is also the subject of a few of her crewmates’ fancy. She came into this season fresh out of a relationship with Tom Checketts that ended in infidelity. But despite being single, Malia isn’t apparently ready to mingle with her boatmates just yet.
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Malia revealed that she had to shoot down David Pascoe’s advances this season. Things seemed to be heating up between the two in the hot tub from Hell.
However, I guess they aren’t the impending boatmance Katie Flood teased about. “I even told David [about the split, explaining] that everything with Tom and I was falling apart right before we filming the season,” Malia said. “I was a mess coming into it and I was just like, ‘You know, I don’t really want to even see men right now.”

Even though she didn’t shut David down when he expressed his feelings in the hot tub, Malia says that she just admired his alcohol-infused bravery. “I was like, ‘Oh I’m quite impressed with how strong you’re coming on right now,” she said. So never say never for a Malia and David boatmance. He’s already up Captain Sandy’s ass too, so it might be a perfect match.
Malia continued to say “unfortunately for [her] admirers,” aka David and Lloyd Spencer, she’s not looking for love on the sea this year. Alright Malia you sound like you’re the Below Deck Bachelorette or something. However, she didn’t completely shut out the idea of hooking up with either deckhand in the future. “I’ll have to wait and see,” she said. Ugh girl, this doesn’t really ever work out. At least she’s done going after chefs this time.
