Ahead of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 reunion, it’s safe to say this season really took it to a new level. There were hookups and steamy hot tub moments galore. There were over-the-top guests that were painfully entitled during their stay. We even saw an instance where Captain Glenn Shephard crashed the boat into the dock. Not even the COVID-19 pandemic could stop the drama coming in at full force all season long.
And in the off-season, things have gotten juicier. Dani Soares gave birth to a baby that may or may not be Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux’s. Not even J.L. knows if he’s the father, even though he’s not doing much to figure it out. The majority of his Below Deck co-stars aren’t having it, slamming for his treatment of Dani. This is coming from a man who told the entire boat he had an STD prior to getting a test. He’s obviously not the sharpest tool in the box.
And it looks like Dani’s little baby will have a new Below Deck buddy to play with. Alli Dore announced on Instagram that she’s also expecting her first child. And thank the heavens, Gary King is NOT the father. Alli posted three adorable photos with her boyfriend/baby daddy with the caption, “So excited for this new adventure with your and our little ocean baby.”
Unlike J.L.’s comment section, Alli received a ton of praise from her co-stars. Dani wrote that her daughter Lilly “can’t wait to meet her new friend. She added, “You 2 are gonna be amazing parents cause you are 2 amazing humans.” Do I sense a subtle dig at J.L.?

Chef Natasha de Bourg wrote a huge paragraph about how “thrilled” she was over the news. “My heart is filled with joy knowing that you deserve nothing but the greatest of love. That tiny little bud will have the most amazing mom on the world so full of life and love … can’t wait for the borders to be open to come and meet Aunty my little bud.” Side note: I love how this cast genuinely seems to become tight friends after their charter season, J.L. aside.
Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher wrote “sexy mama congrats guys” under the post. And Colin Macrae, who had A LOT of words for J.L. on Instagram this week, kept it simple with the heart eyes emoji. To no surprise, Gary did not write anything under the post. Nor did Sydney Zaruba. Maybe they’re still bunked up on the Parsifal III in the middle of the ocean somewhere.
