After a year in a pandemic, a United States election, and a massive boost to the Black Lives Matter movement, reality TV is looking a little differently these days. True Bravo fans will remember the 2016 Real Housewives of Atlanta episodes where Phaedra Parks and some of the other wives attended Black Lives Matter events. Four years later, these other franchises are still playing catch up. That includes the iconic Real Housewives of New York who finally welcomed their first Black cast member after eleven seasons! Welcome to a more accurate reality on your reality TV screen!
For boasting a life of worldliness and civility, Luann de Lesseps sure does seem lost. Though, who can forget that dreadful Diana Ross costume she tried to pass off just a few seasons ago? Shockingly, Sonja Morgan is coming through in a way I don’t think anyone predicted. Sonja was both eloquent and accurate when taking up for the movement and newest Housewife, Eboni K. Williams in last weeks’ episode.
Since she joined the show, viewers have been patiently waiting for Sonja to find her footing in the world of New York. She’s dabbled in fashion, toaster ovens, and the infamous Tipsy Girl. The latter, former Housewife Bethenny Frankel went bezerk over, calling it a “cheater brand” of her famous Skinny Girl line. Love her or hate her, watching Sonja get close to tears over her seemingly innocent naming error, was tough.
But look who the cat dragged in! Late last week Bethenny sent Sonja stans into a full spiral when posting an Instagram story of her new favorite kitchen appliance. In the story Bethenny is making the cardboard and catfood version of….something.
The video shows her taking what appears to be a gluten, carb, enjoyment free tortilla with beans and cheese in and out of a toaster oven. In the video Bethenny says to her followers, “Don’t worry, I’m developing one of these sort of hybrid toaster type things for you too.” Which one of you was DMing Bethenny worried about your toaster oven? You have some explaining to do!

The story was picked up and re-posted by @bravobravoduckingbravo, which garnered some insightful fan opinions. One person wrote, “I swear Sonja gets the shit end of the stick so many times! She’s a fucking Queen!” Preach it! Another said, “A hypocrite that’s who. [Bethenny’s] such a narcissist. I’m so glad I don’t have to watch her anymore.”
Others came for the “food” in question. Someone said, “The food looks gross!” and another mentioned, “Looks like it isn’t working. That cheese ain’t melted one bit.” Looks like Beth has some work to do before her cheater brand hits the market!
