Dolores Catania and Teresa Giudice both had their love lives under the microscope during Season 11 of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Dolores’ boyfriend, David Principe, finally had his house completed, but Dolores refused to move in without a commitment.
When David gifted Dolores a Porsche, her RHONJ co-stars took a poll to see if the gift was just a stalling tactic. That’s when “Patterson Dolores” came out to play. Of course, Dolores is still living with ex-husband, and roomie for life, Frank Catania. Frank always has her back.
In 2019, Teresa’s then-husband, Joe Giudice, was deported to Italy after serving his prison stint for federal fraud charges. The couple, who share four daughters, decided to divorce. Dolores called Joe out for his notorious cheating during his marriage to Teresa. In fact, Teresa wanted to call off her wedding to Joe the week before the ceremony.
During the Season 11 RHONJ finale, viewers finally got to see the man who has inspired Teresa’s pineapple cravings– Luis “Louie” Ruelas. The duo was giddy over each other, and it was great to see Luis treat Teresa how a lady should be treated.
While Teresa was planning to take things slow, it seems like this couple is on the fast-track. They purchased a $3.3 million dollar house together. Teresa believes that Luis was literally “heaven sent” by her parents.
Teresa also believes that Luis is her soulmate. Sorry, Joe. Teresa described Joe as her opposite, while she and Luis share similar interests. “You know when they say opposites attract? It did for a little while, for like 15 years,” Teresa said. “But now I’ve found my true match– my soulmate. He’s really amazing.”
Luis even accompanied Teresa to the Bahamas so that he could meet Joe. Now that is something I wish Bravo had filmed!

Of course, some unflattering stories about Luis have come to light. Teresa’s nemesis, Kim DePaola, floated rumors that Luis was a cheater. More troubling was the intel from Luis’ ex-fiancée that he allegedly exhibited “controlling and abusive behavior.” Teresa might want to consider that a big red flag.
Luis has already made it known that he plans to pop the question, and nothing would please Teresa’s bestie, Dolores, more. Toofab spoke with Dolores, and she shared her thoughts about the couple. “Oh my God she’s the happiest person I ever met in my life right now — she’s extremely happy,” Dolores shared. She also called the couple “a match made in heaven.”
When asked if she thought the pair would tie the knot, Dolores replied, “I do… I hope! I hope. They are the most beautiful, happy couple,” she commented. “Perfect match. And I see a big future for them.”
And Dolores believes that Teresa’s love for Luis is different than her love for her ex-husband. Dolores said, “She loved [Joe] in a different love. This is a new love, this is a different era in your life; you understand things more, you appreciate things more.”
Dolores remarked, “Those two… those two can’t keep their hands off of each other.” She added, “It’s exciting. It’s hot. It’s sexy. It’s steamy.” Hopefully, we will see much more of their relationship on RHONJ next season. Right now, for Teresa, it’s all “love, love, love!”
