How are we liking Real Housewives of New York so far? Last night, Ramona Singer threw a Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed party and we saw the return of Heather “Mama” Thomson. Holla! I love it when they bring back former cast members. It also looks like Leah McSweeney and LuAnn de Lesseps love it too, because they were eager to give Heather a hard time for alleging that Sonja Morgan and Lu are into “strong drugs.”
Meanwhile, Eboni K. Williams showed she can hold her own and appears to be sensible and sweet towards anyone going through a hard time. Overall, Eboni is proving herself to be a great new edition to RHONY, which is important because the cast has gone through some major shakeups the last few seasons. Tinsley Mortimer left to marry Scott Kluth. Unfortunately, we know how that turned out. But the biggest blow was Dorinda Medley getting the boot. Say what you might about Dorinda, but her absence has left a gaping hole, which begs the question – are five Housewives enough to sustain a whole season?
It looks like producers are asking the same question because fan account, Real Housewives Confessionals posted a casting call for RHONY. The ad in the picture clearly states “now casting” and directs people to the casting department at Shed Productions – the media company that produces RHONY. Although, it is important to note that none of this is confirmed to be true at this time.

In the caption, Real Housewives Confessionals writes, “looks like #RHONY is already putting out a casting call for next season.” They also assume it could be one of the OG’s last seasons. “Do you think it could be Ramona, LuAnn, or Sonja’s final season?” Seriously, I hope NOT!! I honestly don’t think I can picture RHONY without all three of these women. I even like the fact that these OGs are still around. However, I do get that people could get tired of seeing the same faces.

The fan account also asks, “do you think the same cast will stay on with a couple new wives?” At this point, it’s too early to tell. But if I had to guess, Leah and Eboni will stay on for next season. Unfortunately, I do think one of the OGs will be on the chopping block – although I really hope I’m wrong. Maybe LuAnn could really help bring back Aviva Drescher, Tinsley, and Jill Zarin. Would you be into that?
