It’s safe to say that Colt Johnson is the cringiest 90 Day Fiance cast member. Since he first came to the franchise years ago, he was known as the guy with a lot of cats, who lives with his mom Debbie Johnson and is pretty bad at being a boyfriend. It’s been a long time since his debut, when his marriage to Larissa Dos Santos Lima failed just as quickly as it began, no thanks to Debbie’s meddling and ultimately a lack of chemistry between the two.
Unlike Larissa, who was fired from the franchise, Colt and Debbie have made a full-time career out of being 90 Day Fiance personalities. We’ve seen Colt move on to another Brazilian woman Jess Caroline after Larissa, which ended just as explosively. Colt has proven he’s pretty much the worst boyfriend ever who has a penchant for DMing girls dick pics and being a total mommas boy.
Colt’s latest endeavor in the 90 Day universe has been his appearance on 90 Day Fiance: The Single Life on Discovery+. A single Colt sounds even more frightening than one in a relationship, so we saw the alum go on dates and fawn after his “best friend” (with benefits) Vanessa Guerra. Yeah, the only woman in Colt’s life Debbie has ever approved of AND the woman he told both of his exes not to worry about. And to no surprise, that was apparently a big fat lie.
Colt revealed on Instagram that he and Vanessa recently got married. The two got engaged on The Single Life after Vanessa gave Colt a hard time about dating in the first place because she didn’t trust him. And she had a point — Colty is basically one giant red flag. But that wasn’t enough to stop her. “I’d like to announce that Vanessa is my wife. I married my best friend and despite what others might say; I know we will find out happily ever after,” Colt’s caption wrote. Sounds like he’s hoping for a spot on the next season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, because it’s obvious he and Debbie have a thing for the spotlight.

Like I said, Vanessa seems to be the only woman Debbie would let take her spot as be the No. 1 woman in Colty’s life. So it’s no surprise she commented in support of the marriage. “Congratulations to my son and daughter-in-law. I am so happy for you both. True love always wins,” she wrote. AKA she’s giving a big FU to Larissa and Jess because, in the end, Colt is always going to listen to his momma. Or as Larissa said, the umbilical cord will never be cut.
A few days before the marriage announcement, Colt took to Instagram to announce their engagement. “The cat is out of the bag,” the post began *eyeroll*. “I’m very happy to announce Vanessa as my fiance. I can’t wait to see what happens next.”
