The Real Housewives of Atlanta are making more headlines not that the season’s over than they did throughout Season 13. Porsha Williams shocked fans by revealing her new man Simon Guobadia, the ex-husband of her former friend Falynn Guobadia. Even though P denies their friendship ever existed, Falynn came onto the show as her friend-of. And after all of the calls for following girl code last season, this is quite the stray.
Not only are Simon and Porsha together, but they’re engaged after one month of dating. Or at least, that’s the timeline they’re sticking with a la Phaedra Parks style. Plenty of fans have thrown shade at Porsha about her engagement, including her co-stars and rivals Kenya Moore and Marlo Hampton. But can you blame them? This whole situation is a hot mess. And Porsha’s secured herself a storyline for Season 14.
Because Porsha apparently can’t read the room, she hopped on Twitter to talk about her new man and wedding planning. One fan tweeted at Porsha, hoping that her upcoming nuptials will be filmed by Bravo cameras. Porsha responded with a “maybe,” leaving the door open for yet another over-the-top wedding. That is if the Bravo cameras are even allowed this time around cough cough Cynthia Bailey.
A viewer also suggested a destination wedding, which Porsha says is “a thought” she’s considering. Another fan tweeted at P, commenting on how “sickening” her future wedding dress will be. “Omg so much to plan !! #Excited.” To be fair, Porsha will definitely turn a look in a wedding dress. But you can’t blame Falynn if she’s swinging around her golf club at the sight of these tweets.

Of course, there are haters in this situation, particularly those loyal to #TeamTwirl. A viewer said the ring Simon gave Porsha used to belong to Falynn. “That’s a lie,” Porsha responded, clarifying that the huge diamond is all for her. Another fan posted the photo of the giant jewel, saying they would’ve said yes too, and Porsha thanked them for being on her side. We know those who Porsha keeps close are the ones good at defending her no matter what (Shamea Morton).
One fan tweeted, “live your life unapologetically Queen. We only get to do this beautiful journey called life one time. So do it on your terms beloved.” “Amen,” Porsha responded. In another congratulation, a fan wrote “Hope he is perfect for you” and Porsha responded, “I think so too.” It’s not like we’ve ever heard that before from P. And she was the one making fun of Kenya’s history with relationships.
