The news of Bethenny Frankel and Paul Bernon’s engagement broke almost simultaneously with the first Season 13 trailer of the Real Housewives of New York. It didn’t exactly seem like a coincidence, with the cast thinking that B was being petty with the timing. However, she hasn’t acknowledged the big news, until now.
Her engagement news came simultaneously with reports that her 8-year divorce from hell with Jason Hoppy is finally over. And finally, the SkinnyGirl mogul is free to move on and didn’t waste any time.
While B hasn’t publicly posted about her engagement, the massive rock can be viewed in a few of her recent posts on social media. And recently, according to People, Bethenny finally made a statement acknowledging the engagement. “I’m very excited and it’s really wonderful,” she said.
The engagement is still fresh and Bethenny went on to say she wasn’t sure if the two would tie the knot in New York or somewhere else. “I’m not sure. I mean, I love New York,” she said.

While she hasn’t acknowledged the news dropping at the same time as the RHONY trailer, she did say that the next season is sure to be “a thrill a minute.” But she wants no part in it. “I don’t want to go back on ‘Housewives.’ It’s not where I am right now. I respect that I came from there… I’m moving forward.” We know B didn’t even enjoy filming the show anyway. And, she’s busy working on an upcoming business-centric show on HBOMax, so she’s definitely got her hands full as always.
While her marriage to Jason was staged for the subject of a RHONY spinoff, her nuptials with Paul will probably be totally private. And it’s probably best that way — Jason and Paul only last two years together, but their divorce lasted four times as long. And it was a mess with hostile custody battles and allegations that have made headlines for years.

We suspected Paul popped the question last year, but then they broke up. It was an amicable split, and didn’t last long because the two reunited at the beginning of this year. The engagement seemingly took place in Florida while the two were on vacation with B’s daughter Bryn Hoppy.
And Dorinda Medley might be the only housewife to be invited to the wedding, as she’s the only former or current RHONY star that B is in contact with. Even though I’m fantasizing a reality where Ramona Singer, LuAnn de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan are her bridesmaids. Could you imagine the chaos that would ensue? It would definitely make better TV than Bethenny’s first wedding.
