Bethenny Frankel Is Engaged To Paul Bernon After Finalizing Divorce From Jason Hoppy

Real Housewives of New York alum Bethenny Frankel hasn’t had it easy when it comes to relationships. On the show, we’ve seen Jason Hoppy put her through the wringer with a nasty divorce. And she was hit hard by the unexpected death of her on-and-off boyfriend Dennis Shields.

After her RHONY days were over, the SkinnyGirl founder seemingly found love with a new boo Paul Bernon, despite a breakup or two thrown in between. Now, B is officially moving into a new chapter in her life. It could mean wedding bells are on the horizon.

Over the weekend, Page Six reported that Bethenny was spotted on the beach in Florida wearing a pretty massive ring. She is on vacay with Paul and her daughter Bryn Hoppy, so fans are speculating that he finally popped the question.

Based on the photo, the engagement-looking ring looks like a massive rock that someone with Bethenny’s romantic history deserves. This isn’t the first time we’ve been curious about whether or not B is ready to become a bride again, as fans were convinced Paul popped the question back in 2019.

So far, Bethenny hasn’t confirmed or denied the reports. People apparently confirmed the engagement news but didn’t name their source, so it’s up in the air. However, a recent development in her legal proceedings with Jason has us believing that this time, it might be for real.

On Monday, Bethenny’s representatives confirmed to Us Weekly that her 8-year-old divorce with Jason has finally come to a close. HALLELUJAH! They might have set the record for the longest divorce in history. It lasted 4x longer than their 2-year marriage, and it definitely hasn’t been an easy ride. The two have endured intense arguments and even stalking charges against Jason.

B is finally free and a legally single woman after all the years of back and forth. And it seems like the perfect time for her to start a new chapter of her life with Paul.

If you remember, Paul and Bethenny’s dating timeline is pretty confusing. She dated him before and after her relationship with Dennis. They officially started seeing each other again in 2018 after Dennis’ death, before calling it quits last year. Their split was pretty lowkey with Bethenny saying it wasn’t a bad ending. And even though it did end, it wasn’t over for long.

In January 2021, the two were photographed holding hands and hanging out with Bryn, causing fans to speculate a reunion. Then, on Valentine’s Day, she confirmed their relationship when she posted a Valentine’s Day selfie with him in the background.

While Paul never made his RHONY debut prior to Bethenny leaving the show in 2019, it’s probably better that way, especially since she didn’t even enjoy being a housewife. Bethenny and Jason had their own series and look at how that turned out.

If Paul and Bethenny somehow did return to the show, it probably wouldn’t be good for their relationship. Ramona Singer would berate him with invasive questions. Luann de Lesseps might try to take him home one night. And Sonja Morgan would undoubtedly flash him, probably on accident. Not even her close friend Dorinda Medley would be there to back her up. Yes, it seems like the best chance Bethenny has to achieve a real happily ever after is one that doesn’t involve being on camera.
