Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fan favorite Heather Gay is many things. She is an entrepreneur who owns Beauty Lab & Laser, a successful med spa. She is divorced from “Mormon royalty,” Billy Gay III. RHOSLC co-star Lisa Barlow accused Heather of marrying for the lifestyle and money. Not cool, Lisa.
Divorce is frowned upon in the Mormon Church, however, Heather has been trying to navigate her own way. In an emotional episode of RHOSLC, Heather talked about her feelings of shame and guilt with her three daughters. She feels judged, and not able to live her life the way that she would like to. Heather may not be interested in love, but she’s still interested in sex.
Heather dabbled in a flirtation with Below Deck Mediterranean star Alex Radcliffe. You go, girl! Even singer Rihanna is a fan. Rihanna commented on Heather’s Instagram Story, “I’m obsessed with you!” Thank you to @Queensofbravo for tweeting and sharing Heather’s post.
Heather, for better or worse, is also the Jen Shah whisperer. Jen enjoys throwing glassware, storming out of parties, and being extra. During the most recent episode of RHOSLC, during a Las Vegas girls’ trip, a furious Jen exploded at Whitney Rose, Heather’s cousin. Jen hit Heather while making her grand exit from the dining room. Even Heather couldn’t wrangle Jen this time.

In contrast, RHOSLC cast member Meredith Marks refused to engage with Jen and serenely left the room. Meredith is a successful jewelry designer. She is married to Seth Marks, and the couple has three adult children. In a refreshing change of pace, the duo came on the show with marriage issues. Usually being on the show causes Housewives’ marriages to fall apart.
The couple, who wed in 1996, had separated off and on during the years, and even dated other people sometimes. “Our own children didn’t know we were separated, and we were living in the same home, raising our kids, trying our best to keep a strong parental front for our children,” Meredith stated.

In August of 2019, Seth filed for divorce. In December of 2019, Seth stopped the petition. Meredith and her husband were secretly separated when filming started, and doing the long-distance thing because Seth works in Chicago. Later in the season, Meredith and Seth rediscovered their love for each other and reconciled.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Heather applauded the way that Meredith addressed her marital issues. Heather gained new insight into her co-stars by watching back episodes of RHOSLC. “I gained deep respect for Meredith. She had maintained a very elegant veneer, you know?” Heather shared.

“So I really was impressed by that and moved by it, by seeing the intimacies of her and Seth’s relationship — and I love that couple.” It was interesting seeing Meredith and Seth fall in love again. Heather stated, “I love the way that they speak about marriage. I think it’s healthy and progressive and I’m into it. So, that was surprising to me,” the med spa owner added.
When the franchise returns for Season 2, maybe we will learn a bit more about Heather’s dating life. If anyone deserves to be happy after her heartbreaking divorce, it’s Heather.
